phpbb ads after first post

I know there are plenty of old posts about phpbb on here, but I couldn't find an answer to my question. I already know how to put an ad after the first post in phpbb, but I am trying to do it so that only my unregistered users see it. I'd like to write above it that if they register this ad will disappear. It should help me make a few more bucks, and get people more motivated to register. Is there any easy solution to this? I don't really want to do a mod, as they have really confused me in the past.

If you're handy with PHP you could try an if else statement. If not then the Inline Banner Ad might help you.

 

Yeah, i guess ill have to try to learn to do the inline bannner ad mod. I wish they setup phpbb so that mods would be easier to install.

 

I have read somewhere that it is against Adsense Tos now , as putting ads after first post misguides your visitors.

 

That doesn't make sense, especially because it looks so different. Anyone have confirmation of this?

 

well I found out about easy mod, and that saved me a lot of work. I got it all working

 

In the future, if you need any phpbb mod, let me know. I'll be glad to do it for you for a fee. I am very familiar with the phpbb script and can code pretty much everything that you ever dreamt off.

 

as long as it works with easy mod I wont need you. I installed inline banner without any problems

What?! Isn't that the purpose of AdSense to get visitors to click through?

Seriously, I see plenty of sites that use this method. Personally, I never could stand seeing them as I found them to be intrusive.
