If you truely want to understand the bible then u must know the original language from which it is translated from, aramiac and hebrew. If u dont research this part and just follow your english bibles then its like *issing into the wind. Its like me saying the holy spirit told me that this carrot i hold in my hand is the bible and u must all believe me. Now i dont know about you but the holyspirit didnt raise me to be naive. That carrot isnt a bible and i can see that. Be careful with bible knowledge if you dont know the bible history, and how the bible came about and how it was ratified.

I do not understand your problem.The Bible was written originally in Hebrew. Normally if you want to understand a text you go to the author to help you and in the case of the Bible it is the Holy Spirit.
Actually a lot of it was written in Greek. Quite a bit later. You want the answer, listen to your heart/holy spirit/Chi/Tao/Energy/Your emotions/Instincts, etc but remember whatever you hear is filtered through your preconditions. you see it not as it is, but how you want to see it.
Well, you are way off, and listing these like you did shows you have no understanding. My heart and the Holy Spirit are not always going the same direction. Definitely not my emotions or instincts, because I would be going a different way there too. If this was true, then I would personally have changed it to a more comfortable belief. Something like mormonism, atheism or islam would fit how I would want it to be. I could earn my way to heaven or not even think about it would be an easy way. I always want to be in control, how about you?
Actually its because you are afraid to listen to your heart/spirit that you need to find answers in the teachings of others and ancient scriptures. Try listening to your true heart, not your base emotions, preconceptions, precondition and fears, or the teachings of a religion that claimed the earth was flat and only 4000 years old, that said that the earth was the centre of the universe and the sun revolved around it. Tikout, if the holy spirit wanted u to understand teh bible this way he would have engrained it into your heart and soul just and not have someone write a book called the bible. If you wanna follow the bible, the original bible also names an ambassador here on earth representing jesus. Jesus named peter as that ambassador. Peter the rock upon whom he will build. exactly I never believe science that contradicts the bible such as the flat earth theory that some took in. You would actually have to prove it for me to believe it, not just put up pictures and make up the story between. There are many now believing things that "scientists" are claiming without proof and then trying to make excuses for what the Bible says instead of asking for proof. What tends to happen is someone starts making fun of you if you don't believe what is currently being claimed without substantial FACTS. and for the DP idiot - dinosaurs existed which does not contradict the Bible in any way, so don't bother trying to bring that lame line up again... geesh.
