How many of you regularly use print advertising to market your products/services? What type of success(es) or failure(s) have you experienced in the past by doing so? Direct Mail? Newspaper Inserts? Flyers?

Also, where is the best place to get your printing done? The lowest I can find is $375 for 10,000 2-sided, full-color flyers from www[dot]PrintAndDeliver[dot]com

Print Advertising is a bit too expensive.

What types of products you have?

shipping is only $100 for 10,000 for me usually. so i can get the whole thing for under $500 delivered. But the main problem is getting flyers to work. I am trying to promote a community athletic league and I use flyers and newspaper inserts to get the word out. I jsut need tips and suggestions to make it work better

Drig, go to www.printanddeliver.com and click on products if you need the flyers cheap

    thanks for the fast responses.

Go to athletic events like marathons or whatever and deliver your fliers there.

I went to a site that was on a billboard. They made it mistified. You weren't able to know what the site is about without going into it :). It was an amazing idea to me.

I've seen nice billboard (picture on it looked nice and mistic, like some screensaver) and I've only seen name of the person on it.

Afterwards, I've seen the other billboard, different, again with name of the person at it. It was again like nice looking abstract screensaver.

Third time I looked at billboard it was www.firstname_lastname.com on it.
I HAD to look at that site to see what is it / who is it about. The point is that with first two billboards it wasn't clear why that person advertises.

I don't know is it expensive but it looked like good way to start local portal or viral website (social one, like myspace or digg).
