Adsense Phone Verification

I've finally reached $50 and apparently my PIN is on it's way :) However, I also had to verify my phone number! This was new to me, I didn't expect it at all. I haven't read anything about it anywhere so I was a little surprised. As it happens, it was quite a cool experience. Yeah, it was just an automated phone call where I had to enter a six digit code, but that's not the point.

Google phoned ME. How cool is that? :p

Anyone else had to do this?

My PIN is being sent to my postal address, this is to verify my contact address. However, I also had to verify my phone number too by inputing a six digit code when they called me. It is an automated system.

All payments are held if you don't verify your phone number.

I don't think Google would stop payments to me if I ignore their calls. There is no reason for them to penalise me since I had been making a small (like a drop in the ocean) but regular contribution to their till.

It's not a case of ignoring their calls. This is a new feature. You have to verify your phone number otherwise they will hold your payments. You choose a time that is appropriate for their automated service to call you.
