Well, Since my pages getting more and more indexed by yahoo. I realize the traffic from yahoo dramatically increasing. I found out the the CTR from the traffic which drive from yahoo is pretty much higher than google and msn. and the visitors drive by yahoo view alot of pages and stay much longer than the visitors drived from google and msn.
The quality of traffic from yahoo! always best, isn't it?

I didnt know that Yahoo traffic is better than Google traffic...but if its true, than thanks for pointing it out.

I would believe since Google is bare basic, maybe the people who use Google want to get straight to the point and not bother with ads, and the opposite for people who choose yahoo, as yahoo has many ads...psychology?

Hmmm ... I hardly ever get any traffic from yahoo on the site in my sig ... I get more from MSN and even ask.com than yahoo. Any ideas why? E.g. google sent me 3000 visitors in December so far, MSN sent me 300, Yahoo sent me 80. I'd love to get the yahoo #s up.

Yahoo is ranked the number one website in the world according to alexa.com, and Yahoo owns a large portion of google stock.

I guess it all depends on which SE indexes your site the most.

Also in my case, traffic from yahoo is much better than other referrals.
The crappiest traffic is actually from stumbleupon and G
I also get good traffic from yahoo answers, while I never seen a visitor coming from google groups.

for one of my sites which ranked better for more relevant phrases on Yahoo than on Google traffic from Yahoo converted better since it was more targeted traffic. I had more traffic from Google but that traffic were purely targeted.

My experience is that if your site ranks well at Google, you can get about 10 times of the Yahoo's traffic. If visitors from Google are not staying too long at your site, it is likely your site is not doing well at Google and people who come to your site don't find what they are looking for. For my sites that rank at the top of Google, I found visitors stay longer than those from Yahoo.

Dont know about you but i prefer yahoo traffic more. Even if less visitors. Google compansate by huge number of visitors they send. So if yahoo send 10 visitors and 1 buys my product and google sends 100 and 1 buys.. it actualy looks the same.

Yup, I agree, the google search result spams. google indexed most of pages from each websites. But yahoo is more care about the relevancy and the quliaty of the web pages. Therefore yahoo's traffic is better.

The reason for Yahoo visitors to click more ads might be that the search results aren't as accurate. For example, if someone is looking to buy auto insurance, but go to your page which is about renting a car, they will click the ad which is about auto insurance about every time.

Now this isn't always the case, but it's something I have experienced in the past.

However, the visitors from yahoo is more likely to stay longer and read more pages in my site. that's a good quality which google doesn't,most of google visitors only stay at my site less than 10 sec as if click the backspace right away and gone.

I have found that in the past when I used a lot of keywords in my pages that I used to rank well in Yahoo. Now that I don't stuff my pages with keywords I rank a lot better for Google but don't rank well at all for Yahoo.
