Is this the BEST time to get PR for new sites?

I am reading from many posts in this forum, that Google is going to make a PR update,
Suppose i have started a new website today, And i am going to get a lots of link backs before the PR update.. So is this possible to have a direct high PR in just a couple of days??

Is the age of the website also a factor in PR?

age is a huge factor from my own testing

I have a 2 year old website, with no backlinks and just 1 real page of content with a pr 3, so age is a signification part of PR, but of course there are many other factors

In my experience, I think you missed your window of opportunity for getting PR. You can still rise in SERPs and build your indexed pages, but as a PR update is imminent, I think you will not see PR on the toolbar for that new site on this update. I could be wrong though.

some people saying that "Get 3 or 4 links of PR 6 or 7" and you will get PR in next update... what that suppose to be.. i also think that high quality backlinks are the bigger factor in PR

It is highly unlikely that you will get any PR this time. But, with Google it is too dangereous to say direct "NO: ;)

The best links to get are from other high PR sites with relevent or very simular content. This can be done very easily with $ $ at link sales section DP, or by trading, or by getting in Free Directories, edu & gov... and many more.

You must gather as many as possible and on a constant link building campaign for any site.

For you to get any type of PR you have to wait....(IF the pr rank is actually qalculated 2-3 months prior to its arrival as ive read and been told).

I would agree that anything under 1 month old is very unlikely to get any PR Rank as google hasnt even had time to cache or get every url (providing it a large site) into the index.

    thx

I can talk form experience. I started a blog a few months ago and it only was live for a few days when it got its PR1. Don’t forget, PR is one thing and traffic from Google something totally different. ;)

I think it'll probably get PR on the update following this next one. From my experience it takes about 4 months to get a PR assigned to your page.

Look into the term "sandbox" you'll probably be playing in it for the first few months.

??????? Sanbox has nothing to do with PR, it is a term referring to the low SERP positioning of new sites.

I think it's possible to get high PR in just a couple of days. The age of the website is a main factor to get high PR. Your web can be indexed in 48 hours, but to get high PR need more time, at least one month.

yes man as google update is very near and if you make new website today and it will take some time to cahe and back links also take some time to cache so chances to get pr is not very clear;)
