Why not break up your "long contextual articles" into multiple pages? That way you can get around the limit of ad blocks per page. Just a thought for you to consider.
I am also experimenting the same for few days now. I am in profit. I am making a profit of around $10-$12 per day from a website. I am just worried if its legal and according to the terms and conditions. Regards, Ajeet
When you say 4/5 screens long, does that mean lots of down scrolling or 4/5 actual pages??? Congrats!
$10-$12 is a lot for a single website. Congrats you are doing better than me =) Lots of down scrolling That's something I'm doing as I get some free time. I write related articles and link them but I don't think I can break articles since shorter articles look like spam.
that´s why i´ve stoped arbitrage. to tell you the truth im doing fine now, just crossed the 10$ day only with Google and another SE, but with arbitrage and 0,02$ ads i could be much better anyone with a conclusive opinion on this one? Can we OR NOT be banned by arbitrage (who leads to invalid traffic)?
Sending adwords traffic to a site with content and adsense is not arbitrage per say, though on the bottom line it is. Arbitrage is only when you send adwords traffic to a page with adsense only. So users have o click another ad to move on. I've never seen Google forbid sending adwords traffic to a legitimate content site that has adsense on it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arbitrage When it comes to Adsense, it's buying cheap traffic and sending it to your pages that you hope will net a positive return on what you paid.
So are you targeting Spanish keywords through Adwords??? Do the Adsense ads then appear in English or Spanish???
If you wonder if Google frowns on using Adwords to get traffic to your site with Adsense, go to the Adsense home page, click on publisher tools, and look at the tools they recommend you use....ADWORDS!!! Arbitrage would be buying traffic and selling traffic with no added value in between (content). You are only doing this if you have nothing but ads on your page.
At first they appear in English but after 1 to 4 days, adsense detects the language of your site and display ads in the correct language. I recommend to optimize the most before launching the site for the 1st time since adsense takes a while to update the ads once you've made modifications. Also, here is a little update. Some of the sites are getting indexed in google and I don't know if this has something to do with the fact that visits through content network increased 400% since then so I had to increase the ad budget. (only 0.01 bid for content network, never spend more than that if doing arbitrage IMHO because the traffic converts less than search).
The chances of Google banning you for arbitraging is pretty slim, mostly because it is the most profitable aspect of Adsense for them (yes, you heard it right). But the chances of Google heavily smartpricing is a bit bigger, which means you have to be sophisticated with creating your "content" pages. I was getting into it and pulled at the last minute because i didn't want my black-hat, high quality sites to get smartpriced. Allen.H
ok, are you saying that if i put some adwords pointing to my adsense site, i´ll get smartpriced, and the clicks will become cheaper? no way josé, i think his pretty fine as it is: 0.25 to 0.65€ per click.
I got smartpriced. 1st 2 days were more than $0,5 a click then it dropped to a constant 0.1-0.2 average
