What's the best way to Increase Links to Your Site?

Hi,

Why is it that Google only displays a few links and not like MSN.com or Yahoo.com. What I mean is - if I type in :

link:www.skin-care-reviews.com

in all those SE's, Google shows 53 links, while Yahoo and MSN show over 1,000 ?

Google is not displaying all the pages in my site and is not displaying all the links from articles I have out there posted on countless directories. Actually, I thought the numbers should be way above what they are for all, so I'll have to look into this. Maybe article marketing is not that great.

Also, it doesn't seem to show my links from hundreds of other sites via Link Metro on my site either - why wouldn't reciprocal links from tons of other sites be showing up - I have a google sitemap in place?

I'm obviously missing something here.

Any ideas on how to increase links that will post and stay on the SE's ?

Just Chill ! ! ! Dont worry about that matey. Google updates links very slowly. But it does crawl and count your links. It wont show until next update.

 

Yes, Google does not show all the backlinks.. use Yahoo or MSN for checking of backlinks.

 

I got near 2,000 backlinks in Yahoo but still nothing in Google... Google Crawl very very slow..... however it shows all of your site indexed, but not the backlinks

 

Google is programmed to display minimum of no of back links while yahoo and others or not and also the best way to increase links your site is to

I am hoping to get a major rank boost in the next update. I am in the same boat and have no backlinks .

 

all SE's have a different algorithm... but some say that google's algo dont leak...

 

google does not shows all your back link . it makes irs job more slowly than yahoo or msn .

 

i agree with the others...google doesn't shows all your backlinks...some say it only shows those with backlinks with high PR...is that right?? anyway just improve your link popularity...

 

Google is very slow and skeptical in terms of backlinks so that's why Google could not show other links compared to Yahoo and MSN. Just continue building backlinks and everything would be just fine.

 

On the subject of increasing the number of links to your website, I like the automated approach like what Link Vault and Receive Links provide...

Google doesn’t show many backlinks but that doesn’t mean there are not there. Google say they get spammed with website link queries so they simply prevent you from seeing them.

You have got really impressive site..congrats!!! key to traffic is as much content as possible and personally i think unless you have more than 12000 pages, traffic or conversion is rather low. remeber, to have unique content and appropriate keyword density. i think, this shd be helpful

Your site looks very good. Maybe you can give away some free ebooks in each section- ie the health section a free health ebook etc. This way if people don't come back to the site you have them on a list and can put the offers in the email newsletter.
