There are many many spellings of Koran/Quaran/Qua'ran/etc...

It's an Arabic word, it doesn't translate perfectly into any specific English spelling. And really, what is more important, spelling or the domination and subjugation of hundreds of millions of defenseless women? I guess if you're a Muslim, then women aren't really humans -- but spelling is still spelling!

In a relationship between a man and a woman, according to the Bible, the main is dominant yes (in the household) be it's not as if one is more important to the other. When compared to the Koran, the Bible is definitely kinder towards women.

 

Some muslims would also say that one is not more important to the other...

Its also very common that chrisitians reject female priests, so its not only in the household.

True. There is a passage that says Decons (priests, etc) should be a man in good standing.

However, when it comes to thinks such as eternal destination, I'd say the females in Christianity, all in all, have a better... situation.

 

If you abandon the theoretical and focus on the practical, you see that women in predominantly Christian nations have far greater rights than women in predominantly Muslim nations.

You can argue theory forever, but the practical results speak for themselves.

 

I agree that if you talk about nations the womans have better rights in christian nations.

I dont agree if we talk about communities, in smaller christian communities the christian womans are often suffering. (like in muslim communities)

Thats the practical way of seeing it, it is the smaller communities that makes up the daily life of people.

 

Why? How so? I think you need to back up the assumption that Christian woman are suffering in smaller communities. Secondly, how is this relevant?
