OK. GREAT Christmas present from Google!
During the night they have screwed up, once again, my web site(s)!!
I have a few other web sites in other languages, mostly Swedish, and this morning it is just gone. If I do a search for the site, the first one that shows up is from Googles Directory, not the site itself. All keywords are just gone. When I check my stats and use whatever people have used to find the site in the past, nothing is showing up. WTF???
I also have a site in UK that is affected. Mostly supplemental pages now from May.
    GREAT:mad:

Have patience. Give it a couple of days and see if things get back to normal.

I have the same thing. All my google traffic is gone. All my pages are still indexed (180). All my main keywords dropped to position 500 or higher. I am not sure what is going on maybe some datacenter updated. This is going on for 4 days now for me but i am not worried i am sure it will come back because i didn't change anything.

If you asked the question to me, yes all my google traffic is gone and that is for 4 of my sites. I still get clicks and my pages are still indexed so it is my google account because more of my websites are effected. I hope the traffic will come back soon because it is for 4 days now.

I have one site that keeps going in and out of supplemental.

The thing I noticed is when it comes out of supplemental, it gets scraped by a few bots and then I get my site thrown back into supplemental while the scraper site rides highly on my of the associated terms for my site. Kinda looks like google have got it backwards in that sense and are rewarding the scraper sites for stealing my content :(

(Although I have one section that is syndicated, 90%+ of the site is original and had some 301 redirected from a different url as I got a new domain and restructured a couple of months ago).

I can't comment if the same is happening here - with scraper sites visiting when your site makes an appearance in the main index only to get thrown back into supplemental when google detects 'duplicate content' due to the scraper site having the content.

Theres definately been a lot of signifgant fluctuation over the last week.

One of our websites dropped last week when searched in Google.com ... but if you would do the same query in google.uk or google.co.id - you could see the old results that did not move et all.

Some of our e-commerce websites actually moved into top positions this week they have never been in before.

If you're worried the results you see are permanent sometimes its good to check Google UK or ID to see what other people are seeing.

    Same with me

I have one site that has 9,000 pages indexed, I was getting around 6k visits a day from google serps AND

Then like 3 days ago all my results became supplemetal and all my keywords are gone as well

The site used to make $60 - $100 a day and its all gone.....

    No I make around 20 cents a day :(

I thought my traffic dropped away 'cause of Xmas.

Traffic has declined over 3 days to 0 from Google. Checked webmaster tools this morning and it said 'No pages from your site are currently included in Googles index'. Oh dear...

Checked again this afternoon and it now said 'Pages from your site are included in Google's index'. Go figure...

However, still have not got one single visitor traffic from Google.

Everything on my site is clean, have a few aff links but the only thing that I thought was dubious was some Text Link Ads which I removed two nights ago.

    BTW, Merry Xmas everybody. :)

That happens some times an in most cases everything goes back to normal after a few days. I don't know if there’s anything you can do either than weight for Google to get its act together again.

Swede and I seem to be in a parallel universe, I just got hit again.. 70-80% of my traffic came back about a week and a half ago and it dropped out again a few days ago. 6 years of good steady traffic on a clean education site, since this summer has been up and down and it has been 2 months since having my previous normal traffic. (This is a difference of over $4000 in adsense to less than $1000/month)

The 'data freshes' matt cutts talks about don't really explain anything for me, traffic comes in from thousands of different keywords and searches, this isn't a change in a few keyword phrases, I don't even optimize for keywords or pay attention to them, or rankings, just build content and user applications on the site.

I am really sorry to hear that. Earnings from one site totally wiped out. I guess this probably supports the theory of a diversified portfolio in terms of having more than one site.

I hope that turns around for you Sundaybrew. I know you work hard and for a change like that is just so arbitrary and seemingly unfair.

I keep telling my wife, we can't count on anything I make online ... as Google gives it can take away with no reason.

This is the one aspect of working on the web that scares me, all your hard work can be for not at the snap of a finger due to some google change. It is harsh.

p.s. Leave those cookies out... I am sure Santa is coming.
