I find it surprising that these domain names have been overlooked until now...

I'm totally split between Aviva and Alive.

Aviva for me stands out more thanks to the excellent updated redesign - the updated design definately works a lot, lot better. On the other hand if i had to choose which directory to submit to i'd submit to Alive (which i have done) due to the deep links and super high quality. Either way i'm not really biased towards one or the other because ive worked with both owners in the past!

Either way i think this has all proved that i seriously need to step up my advertising game in 2007 as i havent seen my site mentioned once :( - got my banner being shown in an entireweb newsletter at the beginning of the year which could potentially be seen my 500,000 SEO/webmaster readers... whether it will make a difference to visitors and submissions remains to be seen - i feel a blog entry coming on!!!

You do realize that BOTH alive and aviva support deep links, right?

Yer - so you definately makes them more popular then? perhaps thats something i need to consider in January once the PR update has occured and i raise my regular link pricing structure. Hoping for a lot of income traffic from a SEO newsletter publication on the 1st Feb hopefully... that should provide a boast of traffic and submissions. Anyways thats off topic now - still torn between alive and aviva...
