I tried Satillite TV affliate, Amazon, Prescription Drugs (got out because of the legal issues in the news), skin care, etc. I haven't made not one dime. I am getting frustrated at it all. Is there an affliate program that sells a product that sells itself?
Hi, That info is a little limited. -What is your sites niche? -How much traffic have you sent them? -What percentage of traffic were sales? Any? Regards,
That is part of my problem too. I didn't have any ideal how hard it is to get traffic to my websites. I lost over $1000 on ad words campaign that produced no sells. SEO is a lot harder than I thought.
In 2006, I made about $11,000 from 3 affiliate websites. I know it is not big money, but I think I am getting in right direction. I am no one to give advice but try to go to cj.com and from the list of advertiser choose the ones with high 3 months / 7 days EPC. This really will tell you which programs or products are making money for the publishers and what not. I am learnign SEO and some of my sites ranks pretty well in yahoo..Google is still a mystery for me. I am also trying to write an ebook on my experience with the whole affiliate marketing industry. I think it will be another year for that project. I would like to mkae some significant income before writing any such things or else people will just not take it seriously. Cheers Jazz
You have to realize that yes SEO works and it works well but you need to understand statistics of the merchant programs that you run and how it fits with your traffic acquisition costs. If you need 100 clicks to make a commissionable sale and only 20% of visitors to your page click on the offer, you need 500 visitors to your site to make one sale. If you make $5 in commissions from that sale and you paid $0.10 per click for 500 visitors you paid $50 and made $5, so your loss is $45. You need to run high performing, well-paying offers but you also need to understand the costs of traffic acquisition and how they translate into commissions. If you have free traffic to your Yard sale site, I suggest you try our financial programs -- they work well with homeowners.
omg I'm also selling all the same stuff you were and made over $25k last year without any major(maybe approx $300) advertising. Keep trying and read through this forum. It took me 6 months to quit my day job and focus my net business.
If you're not earning with traditional affiliate programs, why not give CPA networks a try? It's much easier to generate a lead than a sale.
Yes. I think that you might want to take a look at WA2.0 - as a product that pretty much sells itself. See my "landing page" meant for Affiliate Marketers (both old and new) in general. But as with anything else, you just have to connect the product to the right market. This one is very well done and - I believe - is exaclty what you're looking for. I hope it helps. http://wealthypages.georgelujan.com (sorry. live links aren't allowed for newbies like me, so you'll have to cut-n-paste)
I would suggest you to go for online gifts or apparel affiliate which pays very well and conversion ratio is quite high too.. but try to geotarget your website
promote something that you know a lot about. If you know about cars, promote car parts, if you know about home financing, promote mortgages... If you know about what you're promoting you'll be able to describe it better and target the right keywords as you'll know what you're talking about.
try gambling, there are a high competition, but it's worth. I can recommend a good affiliate program, it'll generate a new site for you, give free domain name and hosts your site in UK offshore hosting for free. And $100 per new player. PM me if you are interested.
Hello Tony, My name is Sheree. It's 2:00 am and I just got off the phone with one of my business partners. I am a network marketer and she isn't even in my direct genealogy. What I mean is, she's not my sponsor and I'm not hers. I just happened to get extremely lucky and found a strong company with an extremely innovative technology product that sells. But the most powerful part of the equation is that this kind of company and a breakthrough type product only attracts a certain kind of marketer. The team I work with every single day is made up of people who: Are willing to learn from each other and in turn share that knowledge with the next line of affiliates. We stay in a pattern of teaching success and what we have is a powerful line of affiliate marketers who will be able to keep the company going strong from one line to the next. Are persistent in their efforts and treat their business like a real business and not a get rich quick tactic or a hobby. Even if you're building your business part-time, you must make a serious commitment. Come up with an action plan based on what is taught and stick to that plan no matter what. Understand that no legitimate business is built overnight. It takes patience and time. You need to keep doing what works again and again until you reach the desired goal. Refuse to give up. Any successful entrepreneur will tell you that having a business is full of ups and downs. It's not the affiliate programs that make money, it's you and your efforts. I spent 2 whole years in the research and development phase of my online business. In the beginning I was planning on doing direct affiliate marketing because I didn't know about the power of having a network meant. Had I stumbled onto network marketing like the company I'm with right now, I would have saved myself a lot of time, frustration, money, and trial and error. Each one of us has strengths and weaknesses and, collectively, there is no stopping us. Imagine if you added up all of the experience of a strong network how many years of knowledge you would have. This is the greatest resource I've ever found online (and I've downloaded and actually read more reports and books, not to mention useless software programs, than I can even count) because it's not just on paper or in some chart, we are physically doing what works every single day with fantastic results because the trial and error has already been done. SEO is a great long term strategy, but I think that a lot of Internet Marketers put too much focus on it and forget what the real object of the game is: Giving The Customer What They Want. Everyday I post ads that do not cost me a single penny and I get ranked in Google and have customers opting in for more information straight from the ads. Because of what is taught by my network, it only took me about 24 hours to see my first lead come in straight from a Google search. All th guesswork is eliminated. I don't pay for traffic, I don't pay for ads, I don't pay for leads. I have a fierce technology program to market to the masses that is right on point with the changes occurring with Web 2.0. They want a more interactive online experience and that is what I'm prepared to give them. I also have a solid business opportunity for serious Internet Entrepreneurs so I'm stacked on both ends. I just thought it might help to get a glimpse inside Network Marketing and the wealth of knowledge from experience that can be tapped into. Plus, it always makes me angry when I see an affiliate say they lost $1,000 on pay per click ads they bought for an affiliate product. Any affiliate program, network or direct, should have; Training. Generous compensation and bonuses. Support. And I can say from experience that most of the time, none of that is provided. Not only that, but a lot of information products are geared toward tricking newbies into thinking that their going to get rich with no effort by selling a regurgitated bunch of garbage dressed like an Ebook. I have hundreds of ebooks on my computer and the best ones I've ever received were the free ones. Only 1 time did I buy a course online (it was a web design course, 8 parts) that really gave me serious bang for my buck. Other than that, the most informative information products were free. So, I suggest you find a digital product that isn't a junk Ebook, like a service maybe or a membership to something very useful (something that you can actually use yourself in building your own business perhaps) and give an honest review of the product or service. Promoting something you believe in and, as you said "sells itself", is the most effective way to make money. If you can show the product in use, you've struck gold. Sheree, The Newbie Advocate P.S. Don't forget you guys, Web 2.0 is here and it's either get on board or be left behind. I suggest you start learning how to harness this phenomenon and the SEO will then come along with it.
I actually have a great affiliate, the first one i actually ever made real money with. It was a niche i had been goofing with for a while. I TRUTHFULLY made $180 from the 18th to the end of the month with only 200 visitors. I kind of hate to say it because so many people are full of crap, so i would not b'leve me either. But i will tell a few people if they PM me. Here are some stats . I'm 3 months in now and will be paid for the 3rd time on the 10th of nov. Unique Sales Page Visits 149 Unique Order Page Visits 154 Sales Page Conversion Rate* 3.36% Order Page Conversion Rate** 3.25% Overall Page Conversion Rate*** 1.65% Initial Sales Units 5 Rebill Sales Units 0 Gross Sales $145.00 Refund Units 0 Refunds $0.00 Refund Rate 0.00% Net Sales $145.00 Net Commissions $100.00 These are partials taken from articles i wrote. If anyone is interested blah, blah. I will PM back the article URL. And there are a few affiliate programs in the article but this is the bery best one. They sell something that will go up every year. it goes for 29 and you keep $20 ...
No sales at all? Maybe you had adult traffic to your website Only those visitors will get pissed of and leave your site without buying something. It would be like: "My dick is hard en your selling me a tv? wtf!" If you spend that much money on ads and traffic i think you better move into the adult business, maybe you have talent for selling that? You never know.
Pre-selling is the easiest way to make money as an affiliate. Never send traffic to your affiliate sales page. Alwasy send it to a splash page where you pre-sell and collect contact info. Then follow-up via email with an autoresponder where you pre-sell some more. The best way to pre-sell is to have a personal experience with your product. This let's you build a list and sell in the future which is much easier than just getting and losing most of your visitors all day long. Doing it this way you can make money selling almost any affiliate product people are willing to spend money on. Then it just becomes a numbers game.
i feel the same as you do. i think i know a pretty good bit about SEO, Adwords, Web 2.0, I even know most of the tricks of the trade about affiliate marketing but to this day zip zero zilch i would love to learn some secrets...
