I run a football forum .I am just about 2 months old and i have 135 members at last count. I use adsense as the only source of income to sustain the site. About 3 weeks ago i started noticing that the adsense that appeared on my site have nothing to do with football or sports. I am receiving grossly irelevant ads.Ever since this started, i have not had a single click on the ads.

Now, i have read through the adsense help center on google site. i have done everything to make sure i am not violating any of the terms.Yet till date i am still having this irrelevant ads.

I have written to google. And for more than a week i have not received any reply. I have just sent a reminder. Can anyone help me out with this problem?

A forum is dynamic, it's content changes all the time. Your content is a result of your member's discussions and therefore can easily be influenced. It is quite likely that your members will discuss something that is a little off topic from time to time, and these threads will often have ads that aren't relevant to your particular niche. However, what you will find is that these ads will be relevant to your forum's threads.

You should try to concentrate on moderating your forum effectively to ensure that discussion remains on topic as much as possible. On topic threads, on topic ads.

Make sure the text around the ads are related to sports, too. Also monitor the threads, forum users usually love to go offtopic. ;)

Thanks guys for your replies. My url is www .naijafootballfans .com. I couldn't include it since i'm still new here. Again, the ad targeting you talk about, i don't really know how it works because i'm not a programmer.

Section targeting is simple and doesn't require any special skills to implement. You just need to add two HTML tags to your page around a section of text that you deem most relevant to your site's niche. I can't see it helping in your situation, as like I said in my previous post, your content is dynamic.

I checked your page, I have one betting forum and I ask google if I can put ads on it they said NO. Every content(page) that have some initials of betting or gambling issues on it couldn't have ads on it. So be careful that your member do not talk about betting because if google see it you will be banned.
