This is an overemphasis of the problem. The whole country is not in civil war. Violence is concentrated in a number of cities. That's definitely not the whole country. Frankly I would go to Kurdish settlements. I would tell my family to lie their ass off to blend in. It's fairly safe there.
Yeah, thanks for stating the obvious. It's called talking about similiarities in situations. No need for your snide comments.
Do you really think the kurds will allow the whole country of Iraq to move into their section of the country? http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,,1966333,00.html 100,000 fleeing a month
GTECH, I haven't been here long, but I've been here long enough to tell that you have some fairly skewed ideas on politics. If the whole point of invading iraq was that democracy, freedom of speech and such could stand, who the hell are you to tell us that were terrorists because we believe the war is wrong? However, its not just the bush administration that is to blame, they have simply taken the blame because other world leaders in the past ignored the middle east problem. The influence of radicalists was allowed to spread and things that should not have been allowed to happen happened which leaves us in the current state we are. I.E: buggered.
Read that chief. Everyone is working for the American system. My assertion was he was willing or desirable to kill any American. Whether or not the moron plots them all into a guilty pile or not is a matter of his stupid subjective opinion. Bin Laden has mentioned many times, that since this is a democratically elected country, that anyone financial supporting (if not morally supporting) the behaviours of America is the enemy. And that everyone that isn't at war with America in America, is the enemy. This man ascribes to a particular relgious sect that looks upon non-believers as dirt or less than human...literally.
It's a hypothetical situation I was answering. If people's lifes are in constant danger, they should definitely consider asking for asylum in other countries. And yes, breaking laws to ask for such. I deem that as a reasonable chose. I believe we have a person (in this forum) from Iraq that claimed asylum in Spain. As far as your question goes....? I can't answer that. I'm sure there are limitations on everything, but in all consideration, they are a 'unified' country. I'm not sure how that works in Iraq, since there's a relative amount of independent governmental control in the hands of the Kurds. In america, if everyone decides to move to Utah, ....sure there would be a reputable concern of the numbers, but it's part of the same country.
Thanks, I'm flattered you sought my attention as your first post in the section. The premise for your assumption is flawed from the beginning. And who are "we?"
"We" = The people on this forum not agreeing with your point of view on the Iraq war I'm not the only one you are ignorantly calling terrorists supporters.
By increasing security, we improve our chances to predict terrorism and stop it before it happens. The transatlantic aircraft plot in London 2006 were stopped thanks to good intelligence. In the future, we will have even more sophisticated techniques to prevent terrorism. Like these microphones etc..
That was a total crap false flag oppo mate. The plot was unfeasible and some of them arrested didn't even have passports.
You can stop terrorist in 100%. Yes you can decrease the number of course but you can't stop it completely (not in this century). And don't forget that this war is always "your" sophisticated techniques / war techniques against their.
What a load of rubbish that so-called plot was. Haha! Machine guns at the heads of babies and wave through the polonium. Yeah, terrific security.
They were going to make a Guinness Record in modern terrorism and the police/MI5 succeeded to stop that from happen. Sure, the police might have been stressed which may have looked unprofessionally, but in the whole, they did a good job. That's pretty sad. But it's strategically understandable. However, this is history now.
