Was it improving Core Web Vitals, fixing crawl or indexing issues, optimizing internal linking, implementing schema, cleaning up duplicate content, or something else?
Funny coincidence: just yesterday we discovered that the landing page for one of our products was missing from Google's index. There was no link to it in the sitemap, and for some reason the bots hadn't picked up the link from content on another part of the site. We simply requested indexing for it directly through Google Search Console, and voila – the very next day we were third in the search results for the target query
In my experience, one of the biggest technical SEO improvements has been fixing crawlability issues. Making sure important pages are properly indexed, improving internal linking, and reducing duplicate content helped search engines understand my website better. I also noticed that optimizing Core Web Vitals and page speed contributed to a better user experience and more stable rankings over time.
Optimzsing internal linking has worked wonders for me because Google's bots can crawl my website easier and faster.
you are right, we can't overlook crawlability, but i think site speed matters alot because without it we can't boost organic traffic flow
One of the biggest technical SEO issues to check is incorrect canonical tags. If Google selects the wrong canonical URL, important pages may not be indexed as intended. Check canonical tags, internal links, redirects, and XML sitemaps in Google Search Console. Fixing inconsistencies can help search engines understand which pages should appear in search results.
Too early for me to say, my sites are tiny and nothing really moved yet. Reading this thread though, crawl and indexing stuff comes up way more than core web vitals
