Platypus is for sale for half a million I reckon that this company should buy it to avoid calling their customers "hoes"
That's fair enough, but I'm in New Zealand so we know some of the more unusual critters that our neighbours have.
We don't have Platypuses in Europe but they look nice, and are venomous which was also new to me. With 160 stores, Platypus Shoes should be able to afford the domain ...
Second part of my series on lexicon domains. I analyzed the current usage of 47 English color .com domains, and here are the results: 24 color domains are actively in use by businesses or individuals 13 color domains are up for sale 10 color domains are largely dormant, sitting parked, under construction, broken, redirected, or unreachable Source: LexiconDomains.com
Third part of my series on lexicon domains. I analyzed the current usage of 203 English Country .com domains, and here are the results: 80 country domains are actively in use by businesses (and governmental organizations) or individuals 64 country domains are up for sale 59 country domains are largely dormant, sitting parked, under construction, broken, redirected, or unreachable The use of country domains for branding purposes is very limited and only possible in some few cases. Country domains are used in the tourism industry or for export promotion - either by private companies or governmental (tourism) organizations. Some of these domains like burkinafaso.com, cameroon.com, and mauritania.com, I put on my Sedo watchlist more than 20 years ago and they are still listed at high prices though these countries have weak tourism industries. Yes, that's what I saw, too. There are some few cases where country domains are used by ISPs like ghana.com or by media houses like india.com but other than that and tourism industry of course the commercial use is very limited.
Forth part of my series on lexicon domains, and actually a very brief one. Fifth part of my series on lexicon domains. I analyzed the current usage of 94 English fruit .com domains, and here are the results: 36 fruit domains are actively in use by businesses or individuals 29 fruit domains are up for sale—with plural names disproportionately represented (18 vs. 11) 29 fruit domains are largely dormant, sitting parked, under construction, broken, redirected, or unreachable Apple.com, Blackberry.com, Kiwi.com and Mango.com are some fruit-based brands that most will know. I did not include apple.com and apples.com in my list and I don't know why because that's likely one of the most popular fruits and the most popular fruit-based brand. Fruits, animals, vegetables and sometimes colors are popular choices for branded word combinations like foxracing.com. Source: LexiconDomains.com
Sixth part of my series on lexicon domains. I analyzed the current usage of 26 English metal .com domains, and here are the results: 14 metal domains are actively in use by businesses or individuals 2 metal domains are up for sale 10 metal domains are largely dormant, sitting parked, under construction, broken, redirected, or unreachable The sale of Gold.com for $8.5M in 2024 was record-breaking and ranks among the highest public domain prices in recent years. No surprise there – with governments printing ever more fiat money and gold prices soaring, Gold.com is simply capitalizing on the momentum with a huge leverage. Even Walmart started selling gold bars. Since metal needs to be physically shipped (most buyers want to own it), also country TLDs for metal domains—which cover local markets and build trust—benefit from this trend.
