What are you guys using for checking email.
I am checking regular emails from over 14 accounts and Outlook is getting rather slow on the task now. Just wonder if there is an alternative out there worth looking at.

I tried Thunderbird but it’s not a replacement for Outlook in my opinion. It keeps crashing when I try to import my emails from Outlook – PST file is too big. It also slows down dramatically with all the accounts I added when I tried the program.

Don’t know much about Eudora but might give it a go. How many email accounts are you checking with Eudora?
I see that there is an open source version coming out early next year which would make it free :)

    Other alternates to outlook:

    Calypso
    Pegasus Mail
    Barca 1.1
    The Bat 3.0.1 PE

But imho, thunderbird is the better one.

Just looking at Pegasus – the guy who created it lives here in New Zealand
It seems a very powerful program.
Never heard about the other ones but will have a look.
    Thanks

outlook is probably the best one out there but some people are against it just because it's from microsoft ;)

you're checking emails from 14 accounts - you would expect it to be slow...

I don’t mind using Microsoft products at all – don’t stone me now :)
Well, I have got a lot of websites and everyone has got its own email address – sometimes even more than one.

Foxmail is great and you can get the english version as easy as install the Chinese and search for a file called chinese.lgb inside the foxmail directory.

Delete that file, start Foxmail, and you will read everything in English

The latest version is Beta 6.4 available through the Chinese site: http://fox.foxmail.com.cn

    Other alternatives to Outlook:

    Courier: www.rosecitysoftware.com/courier

    Pegasus Mail: www.pmail.com

I have 9 accounts running on Eudora. There is already a free version, the paid version which I think is about $25 has a few add ons. One of the most important tools is the search facility. I have probably 8000 mails stored in my Eudora fils and it will search the lot in a split second. Great spam facility on it. It works for me and I have no complaints. The only downside is the downloadable user manual, its probably got 300 pages?
I can't say it's better than other recommendations on this post as I haven't used them foxmail, pegasus etc. But can guarantee you it's better than any of Microsofts mail products.

I just found an old treasure, not fully featured, but useful to carry on, check multiple email accounts and delete spam from the server without the hassle to download it or visit your webmail facility.

    Check this out: www.ultrafunk.com/products/popcorn
