I have a website that is still in its infancy but hoping to continue to grow. It gets between 1500 and 3000 visits a month currently. Are there any downsides to adding adsense to it to try and generate a few bucks while traffic is still relatively low? Any tips for monetization through ads with other services or for driving traffic to the site? Thank you!
Depend on niche markets ... for example if you are in healt or finance sectors then 100 visitors per day can give you a bit good result than other niches. To drive more traffic to site, just try to promote your website by add unique, related contents, by getting high quality backlinks, branding on social media etc..
Even though I am frustrated with how little Adsense pays now compared to 10 years ago, it still makes me more money than any other advertising or affiliate network I belong to, which includes Amazon Affiliates, Siteground, and Temu.
Thank you for this insight. An extra $10 per month would push me over the breakeven point but I have some work to do to get to ~7000 visits per month. Thank you again!
Thanks Ultra_sweet! do you have any networks in mind? TBH i'm not even sure where to start. Thanks again!
Adding AdSense to your website to generate revenue is a common strategy for many website owners, even when traffic is still relatively low. However, there are a few things to keep in mind: Ad Placement: Ensure that you place ads strategically without overwhelming your visitors. Balancing user experience with ad placement is key to keeping your audience engaged. Content Quality: Focus on creating high-quality, engaging content to attract and retain visitors. Valuable content can lead to more clicks on your ads. Site Speed: Page load times can impact user experience and ad performance. Optimize your website for speed to maintain user satisfaction. Mobile Optimization: Make sure your site and ads are mobile-friendly, as an increasing number of users access websites from mobile devices. Diversify Income Streams: Consider exploring other monetization options in addition to AdSense, such as affiliate marketing, sponsored content, or selling digital products or services. SEO and Traffic: Continue working on your SEO strategy to improve organic search traffic. Utilize social media, email marketing, and other promotional efforts to drive traffic. Remember that it may take some time to see significant earnings from AdSense, especially with lower traffic. Patience and persistence are key in growing your revenue. Best of luck with your website's growth and monetization efforts! Feel free to ask if you have more questions or need further assistance.
I have tested a few ad network throught time because I believe there is no perfect universally effective platform for everyone, but just the one that works for you. My journey started with popunders and I remember I liked Popads and Popcash but then I experimented with push and natives from ad networks like MGID, Adsterra and a few more known platforms. The trick is that these popular networks might be more strict with their traffic requirements when it comes to their publishers. I am currently with Mondiad and have been for a while since I am getting results that are good for me. I can assure you they are flexible and friendly and now that I think about it, I believe they are a great for newbies. Cashout starts at 10$(daily) and for a few weeks after signing up, you get 100% revenue share which I believe it is a great option to test your website potential. (I think this "offer" is still active) Keep me updated if you'd like and I hope you find the right fit for you.
With that traffic I doubt very much that you can generate some money, for the moment I would continue to increase the content and one with the link building strategy. Don't forget that you can also use other channels and join forces...
You can, now google adsense announce paying website revenue by impression. I think this easy to connect adsense to earn, they'll approve 1500-300 amount of traffic.
Thank you for these insights sbsl. How much optimization of the ads is needed? Does google provide them optimized out of the box so that they are mobile friendly with quick load times?
Appreciate the insights CrececonSEO. That all makes sense and I think you are right about trying to earn some $$ with such low traffic. What do you mean by "I can use other channels and join forces"?
The level of optimization needed for ads depends on various factors, including the platform you're using and your specific goals. While Google Ads does offer certain default settings and recommendations for mobile-friendly and quick-loading ads, it's crucial to actively manage and optimize your ad campaigns to ensure the best performance. Google Ads provides tools and features to help optimize your ads, such as responsive search ads that automatically adjust their size and format to fit different ad spaces. Additionally, Google's automated bidding strategies can help optimize your bids for conversions or other specific goals. However, to achieve the best results, it's recommended to regularly review and adjust your ad creatives, targeting options, and bidding strategies based on performance data. This involves analyzing key metrics, experimenting with different ad variations, and staying informed about industry trends and best practices. In summary, while Google Ads does provide some default optimization features, ongoing efforts to monitor and refine your ad campaigns are essential to maximize their effectiveness.
