I found this site high on the list of forums about blogs. I have been obliged to learn to deal with basic HTML, out of necessity. My blog is not there to make money. It contains, not a single ad. To a real professional, I'm sure my efforts are a sad attempt, at a joke... (something must be wrong with this guy...) I came here, hoping to learn how to promote a blog. Am I in the wrong place? What is the most dangerous blog, on planet earth? I think there should be a competition! And a title - a trophy! I will nominate a site and NO - it does not promote violence, or hate. Yes, and it's not all that bad. Even I can set up a forum with it. And I have... Until this month I had a forum called Big Dawgs.com. It was (or, could have been) all about motorcycles. There were forums for every kind of bike. All of it was wasted, for the simple reason I have no CLUE as to how to promote a web site. I's sure I am not the only one to arrive at the place where I am. I'm sure most of them have quit, as well. I'm not a quitting kind of guy... It would seem that, if you want to be noticed, you have to be different... Anyway - one (SEEMINGLY) simple question, if you please? Where can I learn how to promote my blog... and my (would-be) online business @ be-there-now.com?
You can learn here, and from that branch out. I find it extraordinary that there are forums for every make and model of bike and they have users! Your biggest challenge is what to offer people that they aren't getting from those forums, the fb and whatsapp groups, and their local riding groups. What's your point of difference? Once you have that clear picture in your mind you can start with a business plan - and the next big question is how much time you can allocate to the site promotion? Will you have time to create entertaining tiktoks promoting the site content? Or getting reels and images for Instagram? Or cold hard cash for advertising? I ride a lot but I'm it interested in mechanical stuff but I do have questions - best way to set up day running lights, best ways to carry Jerry cans*. Best riding gear in hot climates. You'd have to have an interesting proposition to get me to sign up and remember to come back. * We were riding out of La Paz, Bolivia with Peruvian petrol in our top boxes - Bolivia's petrol is awful. We went up a steep hill, my husband stopped and his bike nearly did a 180 over the rear wheel!
