ebay marketing for 2007

holidays are almost done, what are some new plans for ebay marketing? either affiliating with ebay? selling ebooks on ebay? selling on ebay in general?

who has some strategies for ebay 2007? has anyone been successful for 2006? errors in 2006? who tried something new?

so failures and successes in 2006 bring it in to 2007 with more improvements!

Seems like my sales come in spurts on Ebay lately. For a week or so things will be going great. Then Nothing. I would love to find one particular item to sell and stick with it. I haven't had any luck yet. Any suggestions?

ebay is a very hard market to sell in now with asian drop shippers,

unless you have a niche item to sell then your cahnces off making a decent profit are over.

I was once the market leader in australian eBay selling a item that I was the only seller off, one morning I woke up to find a asian seller had tapped into my market and selling my items at 1/4 of what I was selling them for.

So I moved on and once aggain the same thing happened!

what are good niche items to sell lol!

within 2006 I have done pretty well, but its wasnt a steady stream of income, I think I paid more for the fees than what I was getting paid at some point. you are rign sbongo, ebay is very competitive

connections, with asian drop shippers, wouldnt it be hard to sell on ebay because of maybe the delay of the item being shipped? as I usually did a priority shipping myself as users would like their items right away.

I am still looking on how to improve for the 2007 year so I can benefit, connections, with drop shippers had you had any problems?

I have never sold anything on ebay before but is it possible to concentrate on good customer support and relationships rather than competiting on the price with the asian drop shippers?

yes, I have base my ebay around customer support, fast responses and fast delivery, lets say someone charges standard shipping for 15 $ and you know damn well it dont cost that much, I deliver my items by priority mail at almost the same price or maybe even higher depending on location. customers will see the difference and probably take your item over the others as they will want the item much faster than the others. I respond to customers quite fast usually within the same day or I try to do it within 24 hours. good customer support gets you good traffic and customer loyalty

I think we'll see more brick and mortar businesses moving onto
eBay and selling their goods at standard or slightly discounted
rates. There's a huge market looking to buy something, and
anyone with their own products that aren't on there is missing
    out on sales.

I expect to see more and more audio and video in listings,
which will probably increase sales and raise the winning price.

I agree, there's a whole lot more offline business which can (and most likely will) be brought online to some degree, and small businesses/indiiduals especially tend to head straight for auction sites, as they're a familiar tool to most net users these days.

the problem with the online store is getting traffic, credit card processing, etc - with ebay if you open a store with them you automatically get traffic, that is simple traffic, and all the process you have via a seperate online store. and you just need to try harder to even get more traffic

you might be right, alot of people are more into videos these days since the popular youtube - that might be the next digital product for 2007, agrees disagrees? its seems there would be more digital products on ebay as time comes by as well for 2007
