I really, really do not trust these systems. Putting all of your passwords in one place, no matter how supposedly secure, is like waving a red flag for hackers to attack. That said, my current company seems to have standardized on LastPass. I try not to use it as much as possible, but our IT people seem to like it.
Agreed with you but nowadays it is really hard to remember unique passwords for different websites. I use Dashlane and it helps me manage passwords easily. It encrypts passwords so I think it is secured.
Roboform is also good to secure all passwords and other details like address, CC number etc.. Limited option with free version but good one ... I use it since very long time.
Yes, Roboform is a good one too. Yes absolutely. Both are great but Dashlane seems to be easier to use than LastPass.
I have a really long and complicated password in google (that i remembered) and writen in paper in my safety in case something happen to me, in my google account ( chrome sync) i have all the other password for sites remembered, so in case i need to see one i can in chrome autocomplete options. I dont know if this is the best way, but it really works for me and also google tells you if one of those passwords has been hacked or a database in any site was cracked.
I tend to hang on to passwords for places like DP etc. But as to my personal and business related passwords, those I change about once a month. To me that is the best security possible. As to managing all my passwords, they are all in my head as I happen to have a very good memory. But just in case, I have them all hand written on a piece of paper in a secure place.
If you need a HACKABLE application to manage your passwords, YOU HAVE TOO MANY PASSWORDS. CANCEL the majority of your accounts so you don't need help FROM OTHERS to remember passwords for accounts that you "REALLY" "NEED!"
Recently I encountered a lot of problems while using Dashlane Mobile App. Then I switched to 1Password. Let's see how this works.
I've been using a 1Password app for a while as well, and it seems pretty good. Well, I really care about safety, and even though I installed a security system from ajax the way I moved into the house, I'm sure that people who hack my computer will get way more valuable stuff for me than I have at home, so I don't fully trust that program anyway.
Moved back to Dashlane again. 1Password desktop app slows the PC and also sometimes does not sync properly. It can be confusing when updating a password and hard to know if the password you created will be saved to the correct record.
LastPass is the most convenient for me. I started using it when it was fully free, and I continue using it now. In-build passowrds managers in Google and Apple are also good enough and I know many people who are satisfied with them.
LOL, their marketing people need some help, however. When I first saw their name in your post, I read it as two words, "keep" and "ass" which is not likely the message they were hoping to send.
