Yes, but Upwork has very high competition to get a new project. Because everyone applies for a new freelancing job on Upwork.
You know that there are not only websites where you can find freelancers, you can also apply to the recruitment platforms which can help you to choose employees. In my opinion, nowadays it's pretty easy to find staff for your business or just to help you with some work. Remember that you have to choose a freelancer thoroughly, you should check his/her knowledge in the field of your work and tell him/her to fulfill some minor tasks in order to be assured that this candidate is deserved to be hired by you. It may take lots of time ofr you, however, your work will be done prefectly and rapid I guess.
Upwork. Upwork may be one of the best freelance websites for finding work no matter what type of freelancer you are. Designhill. Toptal. LinkedIn and LinkedIn ProFinder. We Work Remotely. Behance. SimplyHired. Dribbble.
Why don't you try this forum to find someone? It is better to use specific forum and find someone who can work for you on the ongoing basis. This way you can avoid any costs except for the work fees. There is a risk of doing that, but freelancer sites are not risk free as well. Once you find someone, it could turn into a good relationship.
About 10 years ago I needed someone to do some writing for me as I was simply too busy to do it all myself. I didn't want to go to writers that I had working for me at the ad agency where I used to be employed. So I hired one from here on a steady basis, and another as a pinch hit writer. Both performed with stellar results. About 3 years ago someone needed a writer so I farmed out this project to another writer on here, with very positive feedback from the client after the gig was over. That is 3 out of 3...hire from here!
There are plenty of such ones in the internet actually. As far as I know, there is a website which is called like freelancer dot com or something like that. I believe that you can apply to this website and you will definitely find some stuff which you need. However, the most websites which offer freelancers don't have freelancers from common professions. I mean, plumber for example or something like that. Freelancers are more about digital occupation, for example copywriters or translators. So, you have to know this information and search only for those ones which you really need.
They have lots of difference in features, good n bad side for those websites. I've used several of those, and yes they're not 100% perfect. Some of them offer cheaper price for a service category than the others. #1 rule is the security, refund policy n so on. The rest, really goes back to the workers themselves n our ability to explain n work with them to get things done.
Maybe I am not seeing it right, but recent posts are very general and repeating very obvious things in some cases even gibberish. Post when you have something to say, not just for the sheer need to write anything. My 2 cents.
