Hi all. I need some advice from experienced designers. How do you think which trends in web design can be used on this site romsplanet? Will it be relevent to use Parallax animation or Scrolling transformations?

On your page you need to include a margin on the image in the "Best Console Emulators" section. when resized it's butted up against the text.

I'm not sure if your asking if you should use animation or scrolling techniques, but for me I would stay away from things that may use a lot of scripting. Your coding for multiple worlds not just a visual one. One has to ask how scrollers, animations and transitions effects might affect the communication and displays of the visually impaired and or non-visual visitors

Parallax animations may be nice for personal, nature, photographic websites – they are counterproductive on technical sites like yours.

That being said, it took me a few seconds to figure out what your site is all about – maybe some infographic or clear text – that is visible immediately (not only after scrolling down) may be a good idea.

If you're looking for some good animations then you can go for Parallax Animation or else you can go with scroll animations for a professional look.

 

I would also say that in this case parallax does not makes sense. It is just to have something, because it looks nice, but does it add value to your website? Content is king, so if parallax ads somehow to your content then yes, use it, if not just use whatever is necessary to tell your users right away what yous site is about.
