The best Forum now

With the growing numbers of problems with the latest versions of vbulletin, what is the best option for creating a forum today?

I would say XenForo or MyBB, I myself am struggling to decide between them.

I hate discourse, nodeBB, Vanilla and other similar ones.

 

Are they as good as vBulletin used to be?

 

Interesting. I actually prefer Discourse and Vanilla over more "traditional-looking" forums.

Still, I prefer vBulleting because of its Advantages

I guess it depends on the purpose of the forum. If it's purely for discussion only, I think Discourse and other software which utilize a similar format would be the superior choice. Those have no clutter, no extra noise, everything is focused on the discussions.

 

I like MyBB and Vanilla. They are lightweight and they are fast enough.

 

I would prefer XenForo over others. Just feels like they are quite ahead of the game in terms of development. Plus they are the majority marketshare as per the DP Cookie Search page.

 

Xenforo is the best hands down. VBulletin isn’t worth it these days.
