    Hello everyone!
    Currently, I received a request from recruiting agency to build a business platform from a prominent perspective both for job seekers and recruiters.
    One of the successful solutions our software development company could suggest is a custom job search engine. The idea is quite simple: the job search engine scours the web and displays the best results for job seekers. Actually, it is a Google but for a particular purpose.

    And what do you think about such a solution? You are more than welcome to share your thoughts on this topic.

    1. Where are you going to display the recruiter's ads, since the page will be filled with Google ads?

    2. Wouldn't be easier for me to just search Google to get the same or similar results?

    Indeed is one of the oldest job aggregator sites in which they publish jobs that are listed on a wide array of other job sites on the Internet. Ziprecruiter does that, as well. What would make your job search engine different/better?

    They're the experts in their field. What are they, their clients, and job seekers not getting from current systems like seek, ebay etc?

    As a potential job seeker I know how to google and wade through results, but I'd use a specialist site like seek because it:
    • adds value,
    • the jobs are presented uniformly,
    • I can upload my cv and send it out at a click of a button,
    • I can see my progress through the recruitment process.
    There are probably other features that make it more than just a search engine.

    It's not your job, as the development company, to decide what that industry needs. The client needs to be able to demonstrate an understanding of the market and where they can add value. If they can't do that I'd suggest walking away from the opportunity.

    One of the features that I like best when using job search sites is the ability to set up a daily email agent that runs your saved searches for you and presents you with a list of links to the relevant new jobs each day.
