Voted "Rep" - has a ring of democracy to it Although, I'd have to say it would have to be more like a nice even combination of all of those with no heavy emphasis on any individual element to reduce 'spamming' & 'blackhat' techniques intended to inflate one or the other & manipulate the algo. However, Considering my rather diminutive Rep I'd rank pretty poorly - heh
Same, although I voted for Itrader, If I have to give a job out to some one, I would definitely look 1 - Post count 2 - look for his previous posts, 3 - Itrader, 4 - Rep.
none of the above.. My most important criteria to evaluate a person is his post quality.. I consider reputation to evaluate a person, but its not the most important factor. iTrader only comes in consideration, when I am doing business with someone. I give a damn to post count. never considered that avatar picture is important.
I agree with post quality to a degree - I've seen some great posts from new or low post-count-having members. I've also seen pure garbage from long time members with HUGE post counts...not mentioning any names (but it might rhyme with manthony seeya)
Very true. many members are always doing business in the buy sell trade section and we really don't know them outside of it. When it comes to going in there and cutting a deal, the itrader feature is a great indicator on what to expect from someone you've never "met" before.
iTrader cant be handed out as rep.. because it requires you to trade something.. it's abuse can lead you to the ban list
it is easy, and you don't have (only appear) to trade something.. i could just start a thread sell stuff in high price and my friend come post sold. As easy as that...
I voted for itrader because that's what I value the most. I look at what kind of itrader a person has and then I look at their post count after. If they're in the red rep, I almost never take a second glance at the user....so it would go itrader -> post count/rep for me.
I value post count and date joined the most because it tells me they've been around for a while and probably know what they are doing. Rep comes second because if they've got all ten blobs lit up it tells me that they are a contributing member to the forums and help others. Itrader is good because it shows whether or not they are trustworthy, but it doesn't show up in all forums and can only really be considered a factor if it is negative or rather high. Avatars are overrated and often mislead you into thinking the poster is a really hot chick when they most likely aren't.
Yep - just Itrader... that's when people that REALLY do business comment on somebody's practice... REP to some extend, but as it's anonymous it's sometimes mis-used IMHO by people not agreeing with one's comments and not having the balls to tell him personally
This might sound stupid but I take all factors into consideration. The one I think has less value or weight would be rep.
