    Coolnews.com is the better of the two. Also, is it a keyword you use on the site? If so it's good SEO practice to have it in the url.

    In some ways, yes, but that isn't the only ranking factor to be honest.

    That's not how Google works because if it were to work like that, it would be unfair to those websites following good SEO practices.

    Now, when I purchased a .tech domain and a .com from BigRock, thinking it would enhance the SEO, it did, but there were other competing brands who ranked higher. Hence, this logic does not work in the long run. Instead, buy a domain or a TLD for the brand or company's relevance and follow best practices separately.
