Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Simple Minds, A ha, Dexys Midnight Runners, Tears for Fears, OMD, Queen, Guns n Roses and so many others. Lots of one-hit wonders and a great time in music history. I'm a big fan of the 70s as well.

The 80's were a blank era in music full of one-hit wonders and sell-outs. To even try and compare the 80's to the 60's 70's or even early 90's is absurd. The only thing cornier than the music was the clothing. Every time I see Dee Snider on TV I throw up a little bit in my mouth. Zeppelin, Beatles, Stones, Pink Floyd....how can you even compare. The 4 year "Grunge" era of the early 90's was even better than the 80's. Thank God for Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. These bands finally killed the 80's sound in 1989.

    Rant over.

I liked pretty much anything coming out of Seattle @ that time (Sub-Pop label): AIC, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, Mudhoney, L7, TAD, Seaweed, Love Battery, Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam, etc.

there are a lot of songs in the 80's I liked but yeah, one hit wonders @ best...I mean what other song did Frankie Goes to Hollywood do besides Relax??? Don't get me wrong I love that song...but the decade itself was what - for the most part hair bands??

    What's wrong with this picture....my 1st concert ever ~ 1988 Rush and Mr. Big....WTF!!

Time to tune into VH1's "Where are they now?"
