    Hello Everyone,

How much COVID has effected your business? I am in the business of content writing and animation and COVID has my business a lot. I am not getting good long term clients since so long. What is your opinion about it?

    Thank You

Same here. I'm a freelancer and I'm also facing the same problem as you. Some of the clients of big amounted projects have paused because of COVID 19. :(

These days I derive most of my income from my rental units. Problem is that due to the pandemic a few of my renters cannot come up with the full rent. The government has put into place certain stimulus/compensation packages, but these are slowly coming to an end.

Under the present law of the land I cannot presently evict, but meanwhile I have service personnel/bills to pay that cannot be put aside. So yes, my business has been affected by Covid-19.

For my day job, I have seen most planned new projects paused by existing clients or hot prospects. These businesspeople want to get back to work and the fantastic economy we had prior to the lockdown, but there is great uncertainty as to what the political buffoons ordering the lockdown are going to do in the weeks and months ahead. Fortunately, we have seen growth in the existing work we have already been doing for clients, so we have done quite well this summer. But, if this nonsense continues, the idiot politicians who are reveling in their new-found, lockdown power will kill the golden goose and then be wondering how they are going to pay their political hacks family and friends (who have their snouts planted firmly in their government swamp troughs) when the economy sinks and tax revenues tank even more.

Hey there! Sad to hear COVID affected your business a lot. One question.

As you're doing content writing and animations. Are you selling your services in a physical way? Meaning local clients and you go visit them?

Hey there pal.. Nice to meet you. You are saying you're a freelancer as well. How are you promoting your services? And also what are you offering in your freelancing services?

Shit. This really sucks.. In my country the same regulations apply. And also, for example if you're a tenant you can get away by paying only 40% of the rent and the owner cannot evict you as well.

I'm very glad you did pretty good on this summer. Don't you think this is a great opportunity to grow as well? The creative ones, the ones without the pandemic inside are the ones who will strive, isn't it?

What are you currently working on?

My company offers custom software development to equipment manufacturers, also known as embedded programming. In fact, we had our best summer ever this year with new contracts. The issue is that they are all with existing clients. Have not had much luck hunting and closing new ones.

Got it! Have you tried creating a new branch or offering a Plus or exclusive service to your existing customers like Russell Brunson suggests?

We don't sell products, but we certainly have a strong and sustained "sales farming" effort to grow our relationships with and revenues from our existing clients. All of our services are custom which makes them "exclusive" to the client, btw.

it has obliterated most of my business. Some of my online businesses even took a hit, most people are also not impulse buying like before. Everyone is just saving up or is just out of work to spend.

Many are probably getting prepared for the end of furlough, and the inevitable mass job loses

Not quite, you have been "paused" because you were banned. Covid-19 had nothing to do with it.

I feel really bad for you and all of the other small businesses that are being killed by these stupid lockdowns. Are you allowed to have any on-premise dining? Here in Rhode Island, restaurants are allowed to seat customers outdoors (not a good option now as winter is rolling in) and can seat at 30% capacity indoors (it was 50% but our lunatic, liberal governor decided to cut it back because we had a "spike" in infections and she is a control freak, anyway.)

I have heard that the delivery services (e.g., Uber Eats, GrubHub, etc.) really rip off the poor restaurants by taking most of the purchase price of the food. How do the economics work for you?

I don't know if it is technically an "escape" but my understanding is that a lot of New Yorkers are fleeing the Cuomo/Blasio led disaster that they are inflicting on the citizens with their crazed shutdown policies. These fed up residents are heading to states like Florida and Texas where they have not bought into the panic porn. I have considered moving out of my blue nanny state of RI, but now my daughter has bought a house nearby and the wife wants grandchildren around so the prospect of getting out of the surreal world of blue state governance looks bleak, despite my ability to pretty much work anywhere I would like from a job perspective. No escape for me any time soon. :(

Many of them are escaping to FL which makes me feel bad. We are one of the last bastions standing.

A colleague had to go to Florida recently on a family matter and she commented that it was like being back to an almost normal world. Everyone was wearing masks, but that was about the only sign of the virus she saw. Businesses open, restaurants full, people having fun...everything the Left hates.

As someone who stepped back into making money online after a 4 years break, I may have picked the worst year to return!

I have a job as an agency cleaner (I go to sites and cover for people who are off sick or taking holidays) and Covid has hit my industry very badly. When we first went into Lockdown in the UK the permanent cleaners were told you can either come to work or you can stay at home and use up all your holiday, but once the holiday hours are all used up then they must return or quit.

They all took their holiday hours, so now none of them have any holiday time to take which means I only get called into work when a permanent cleaner is ill. Less than part time hours now.
