Did the covid-19 already come to an end in December 2020?

Discussion in 'Politics & Religion' started by fencerstars, Nov 19, 2020.

It seems by now, standing in October 2020, the COVID-19 virus is less fatal. The coming months will show the real outcomes regarding mortality but, the scenario is most likely better than March 2020. Did the covid-19 already come to an end in December 2020? What are your thoughts?

Here in the U.S., now that the election votes have been cast, you will see a lot of the panic porn start to slow down until it disappears. The virus is no longer useful to the FakeNews/Democrats/Swamp, so it will shortly become a non-news item and you will hear less and less about it. They have to keep up appearances for a bit, but fortunately for them, their low-information political base has the memory span of a flea so it will not be long. Note how their co-conspirator, Big Pharma (which hated Trump for lowering drug prices,) started announcing vaccines within hours of the voting having ended. Very predictable.

Oh, that's right, it's all science; no politics involved at all. And UK politics is much more rational, of course.

No, it's a fucking virus it has no political leanings whatsoever.
UK politics has nothing to do with this topic either, if this was a poilitical discussion it would be in the cesspit forum.

The OP asked as to whether "Covid-19" would end in December. Whether the question was about the actual end of the virus from a scientific perspective or the end of the government (i.e., political) shutdown is not clear. Perhaps you can educate me more on how the science is applied to pandemics without politics being involved, by the way. Better, perhaps you can explain this pure science:

Covid-19 is a highly infectious respiratory disease that is projected to kill 1MM people in 2020 worldwide. It is a pandemic and we have shutdown a lot of the world to fight it.

There is another highly infectious respiratory disease that is projected to kill 1.5MM people in 2020 as it has been doing year after year, decade after decade, generation after generation. This pandemic is called Tuberculosis. Why hasn't the science shut us down for a century or more?

Does not make sense to me, but I may not understand the science. I do understand the politics.

The OP actually asked if the virus came to an end in December 2020:
A question nobody can really answer unless they have a time machine. Nowhere did he ever mention anything about politics.
I am neither a scientist nor a politician (thank fuck) so no I cannot educate anyone on the subject, what I do have though is eyes and a brain which means I can think for myself and don't need some overpaid inbred twat of a politician (or president for that matter) to tell me what to think like some people do.
Probably because there has been a vaccination available for TB since the 1950's, according to the WHO TB is curable and preventable.
    https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/tuberculosis

As far as I can tell you have a one sided understanding of the politics and that is to believe everything that fat evil orange twat tells you. Thank fuck he didn't get back in for another 4 years and hopefully ends up where he really belongs...banged up in solitary.

Anyway, that's enough political bollocks for a general chat thread, i'll see if it can be moved into the cesspit.

I see, TB is preventable and curable yet 50% more people will die from it this year than from Covid-19, which warrants a shutdown because science. TB needs Covid-19's PR machine, that's for sure.

Much like beauty, "one sided understanding" is in the eyes of the beholder.

Unless you've got a TARDIS to hand to use to go forward in time, there's no way to know if Covid is ending

That's a fictional device. On the other hand, you could buy one of my Deluxe Crystal Ball Tinfoil Hats with the Health and Wellbeing Ear Flaps. All of your health questions would be revealed then!

You know, I was going to just drop this thread and then I realized that it offered a teachable moment. :)

The Left, when confronted with logic and facts that they cannot counter, have a standard pattern.

First, they resort to name-calling, vulgarity and other assorted histrionics:

Then when that fails to impress anyone with an ounce of intelligence, the Left moves on to its only other option, which is to try to shut down the discussion:

Yes, such an approach is pathetic and ineffective to anyone with a modicum of intelligence, but this is what the Left has been doing for decades now. Of course, it does work for the low-information sheeple who will be impressed by foul language and other weak machinations to cover up for a lack of solid arguments. That is why it is absolutely necessary to call out such antics when they are put on display.

Yeah, you should have just dropped it, you're not qualified to teach anyone anything, constantly spouting the Trump line and doing what he tells you to do doesn't make you intelligent, quite the opposite.
I love how you take quotes out of context to again try and make yourself look intelligent, (you failed, like Trump:rolleyes:) you're such a Trump fanboy you're actually turning into him. How will you get through life now without the fat orange cunt telling you what to do...??
Oh no, more profanity and name calling I'm such a bad person...but at least I have a mind of my own.:rolleyes:

LOL, more typical leftist tripe: attack the messenger, claim your quotes were taken out of context, Trump bad, and then virtue signal your purity.

I have absolutely no political leanings whatsover, they are all a bunch of worthless freeloaders, in it for themselves.

Your problem is you assume everything that happens and views people have must be political in some way, you should have been a politician you have all the qualifications...anyone who disagrees with you is wrong and only your view is the correct one, pig ignorance at it's best.

Oh, is that the case? Shall I quote some of your obviously biased political statements from this thread alone? If you are going to try to virtue signal your political purity, you have to be sure that you have not openly displayed your political biases in the same thread.

In fact, I stand ready to be corrected. Go ahead and produce the "context" that I took your quotes out of earlier. You blustered that I took them out of context in your typical vituperative fashion. Now back it up with said nuanced context so we can all understand what you really meant when you put forth those quotes. I look forward to being educated on this issue.

So after spending the last few days battling covid I've had a "lightbulb moment"....arguing with you or anyone else about something that really has no bearing or impact on my life is completely and utterly pointless, carry on if you wish but I'm out. My wife who is severely asthmatic is laid up in bed coughing herself to death and struggling for every breath, she needs my attention more than this stupid forum.

I find it entertaining that someone from the UK (not sure I saw someone say it) would have any views on this. I am an avid metal detectorist and belong to a UK detector club and I find it fascinating how you guys just bend over. They banned metal detecting in open fields (where no one is for miles around) because of covid which if you have common sense like you say you do would be absurd.

I find it entertaining that you think I can't have views on what goes on in the world.

I have no interest in metal detecting so I don't really care if it's banned but what do you expect us to do about it? Nobodies "bending over" as you put it, do you expect us to act like retards and go out rioting because we don't like the restrictions put in place to try and save lives? They haven't targeted metal detecting in particular, it's just part of the restrictions around leaving the area you live in.

    https://www.ncmd.co.uk/ncmd/covid-tier-4-guidelines-21-12-2020/

At least our government is trying to control the virus, are they doing it right? maybe, maybe not, who knows?
