It is very difficult to destroy arguably the largest search engine in the world. It offers us many privileges with its speed and data, as well as artificial intelligence.

Exactly! Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, the Medes & Persians, Greece, Rome... Mighty rulers then, all gone now.

You're comparing apples to oranges. The empires went down because of the internal corruption, greed, power hungry emperors and the enemies surrounding them. How does this even remotely apply to the big G?

That is physically IMPOSSIBLE. Science will tell you that eventually the EARTH and the whole universe will CEASE to exist. And you want me to believe that Google will still exist after the universe is long gone? Get real.

I know it’s impossible. But it will stay relevant for a long time.

    This topic makes me laugh...
Here I am, born in raised in Empire that doesn't exists since last century lol I'm old too I guess. And of course I remember MySpace and AOL and so many more, for you, millennials, they sound like an ancient history, but they were huge! that's the point, just trust us on that.
So yes, Google is the monster and there is no competition at the moment. But there is always probability that one day something may change ;) just never say never))

Google might seem magnificent to many people now, but that thought isn't new. Many corporations like Lehman Brothers that were thought to be unshakable was wiped out and seemed like it never existed.
Ever heard of Excite? They once ruled the search back in the days, and Google was the new kid on the block. They could have bought Google for less than $1 million, and thought that it was a bad deal. Back then they really ruled.

My wild guess is that voice search would take a bite of the traditional searching. I know, Google is among the top in the technology, but with Siri and some others, you can really see that how they can loose some ground.

So, to answer your question, Google, like any other corporation is not as magnificent we sometimes think they are.

Nothing is permanent in this world, Everything which is alive wants to be superior, If you become superior and you stop working hard and drop innovations so definitely things will change. This is our own hands.

Everything dies eventually. Excepts Google Search, Google Ads and YouTube, there have been a alot of screw ups along the way - the failure of Google Glass and of course the Google Plus that was a complete disaster.
