Just a question, if US, the coalition and Iraq's new army actually wins, the terrorists get jailed or killed and Iraq becomes less violent. Would you and all other war protesters really be happy with that result and admit that you was wrong about the unwinnable argument? I doubt so
I don't think AGS believes that terrorists actually exist. Judging from his posts in the past, he probably believes terrorism is just some kind of conspiracy that the American government made up. In fact, he may not even believe that Saddam ever lived. We probably just made up the existence of Saddam because Americans are greedy oil lovers or some other crap like that.
Rebecca, that was one of the most un-intelligent post I have ever encountered. You all are hypocrites. You just bash him for what he believes in. And if it's not your idea of right then it's wrong and he's some psycho. You all are retarded.
Scheme, are we all retarded because if it's not your idea of right then it's wrong? Your reply was one of the most un-intelligent posts I have ever encountered.
If that even made some since then I would give you the joy of a reply but you just repeated what I said. Congrats.
*cough, American Foreign policy has been mired in a murky world for decades. Operation Gladio On November 22, 1990, the European Parliament passed a resolution condemning Gladio Iran-Contra Affair Oliver North became famous due to his participation in the Iran-Contra Affair, in which he was the chief coordinator of the sale of weapons via intermediaries to Iran, with the profits being channeled to the Contras in Nicaragua. He was responsible for the establishment of a covert network used for the purposes of aiding the Contras The Contras The Nicaragua conflict claimed an estimated 60,000 lives. The Contras were frequently accused of being responsible for multiple political assassinations, kidnappings, and the widespread use of torture. They were opposed by many Nicaraguans as well as foreign human rights organizations who viewed their tactics, which included the targeting of civilians, as brutal and indiscriminate.
Sure I thought I was wrong when they were tearing down the Saddam statue, I actually thought, "hey maybe I was wrong about the war, the WILL greet us liberators" BUT that was just a photo stage by psyops people in the army it was all fake So since that hasn't happened and pretty much everything points to it not happening, when are you going to admit that YOU were wrong? At what point will you recognize that we shouldn't have invaded Iraq, how many more years, 3, 5 ? How many more billions need to be spent , and how many people will die, before you take the blinders off and say "I was wrong"?
As by his own words his last assignment was as an Army recruiter Kind a put things in perspective don't you say? Gtech already feels like a billion bucks recruiting youngsters for the Iraq war. Did you meet your quota this month Gtech?
Since this thread started, U.S. President George Bush publicly stated that the United States is "not winning" the war in Iraq, completely reversing his stance of October 25 that the United States was and would win the war. Without debating the merits of whether or not the United States ought to have invaded Iraq, there is good reason to debate the implications of this defeat, Israel's pyrrhic victory in Lebanon, and NATO's worries that Afghanistant could still be lost. These are enormous losses for the United States and other "capitalist democracies" because they prove to the west's enemies that while the west can beat the crap out of standing armies, they cannot beat people. The lesson to be learned is that super powers should never start wars that they are not prepared to win, no matter the cost. And never invade without intending to dominate, absolutely and with an iron fist.
Unfortunately, this is true if the intention is to suppress any and all moves against the invading army by resistance groups that form within the country to fight off the invaders. Hoping that the population will 'rise up and embrace' their new 'freedom' is wishful thinking at best and has always proved to be historically unwise.
Let's look at what happened so far: 1- Iraq army surrendered 2- Saddam's sons were killed 3- Saddam was arrested 4- The previous leader of Al qaeda was killed What was the result of all above: The situation got worse for US and Bush admits to losing the war. What will happen after the latest arrest: Nothing. Civil war will continue and situation gets worse. Why? Because some one else will move up in terrorist organization and everything continues as usual. They have no where to go and no alternative, so the only alternative is to stay, fight and die. Those people know that most likely they will be killed and have nothing to lose, the question is if American are ready to accept the same condition.
GTech just can't come to terms that his government is just as corrupt as the ones he so preaches about. I live in Dallas Texas and if he ever called me He'd get an ear full
This is humorous. Liberals really believe the propaganda they themselves concoct. Bush's statement followed Gate's statement where he said we are not winning, but we are not losing. Most of the media only reported the first half. The full statement is much more accurate. We may not be winning, but it's only because Bush and Blair have had two serious obstacles to success: the terrorost insurgents and the liberals (including the media). The latter has been far worse than the former. If this happened during WWII, they would all have been locked up. We have won the war. The problem is winning the peace in a Muslim country. The Muslim radicals have been doing a much better job of killing each other than they have killing Americans and Brits. It's what they do best. Unfortunately, it may take another brutal regime to keep them in check. Anyone who believes that the WMDs never existed is only fooling themselves. Iraq is a large country and Saddam had five years to bury the WMDs or move them elsewhere. They still exist somewhere. We know this because the US, Russia, France and Germany sold them to him. He didn't use them all on his own people.
Don't say this around GTech and his crazy right wing friends ;]. As for the war and your explanation. What propaganda are you speaking of? The first hand accounts? Or the BBC (one of the most Unbiased, not your Fox news you may watch). Or how about the local papers? I am sure all those outlets are propaganda compare to Bill O'Reily or the crap you watch or read? Bush and Blair won the war? Haha, I am not sure if you remember but the whole reason we went to IRAQ was to find the "weapons of mass destruction" and we some how can't find them at all. So in that sense we have lost our first mission, then all of the sudden we want to free the people from Saddam. In that sense we have not been success considering all the civilian lives lost and the fact that the people are in the midst of a Civil War some argue that it's already going on. And you claim success? This is nothing more than propaganda in it's purest form. We have not won, we never will. Our original objectives have not been complete and the "speard of democracy" hasn't helped the people at all. Nothing more than killings if you didn't vote on the side of the terrorist's and that is winning? This war is nothing more than a show boat of US imperialist crimes.
Oh, I've long been out of the Army, Mister Ed. Let's see, I got out about the time you probably started kindergarten. About the same time you stopped wearing diapers. I don't mind the attacks. It simply serves to prove one of my points about "do nothing" liberals that sit behind their keyboard taking pot shots at the military. Like I always say, and you were kind enough to demonstrate...if you don't support America (demonstrated), you don't support the troops (more than demonstrated) and you don't support the Iraqis (demonstrated), not much left to support. We know who you DON'T take issue with, don't we? That ought to give you something to whine and cry about for a while. Something you are actually good at
As opposed to you claiming defeat? You are all too ready to claim victory on behalf of terrorists, aren't you? We see who you support and who you don't. "but, but, but we're just asking tough questions" Dallas, huh? You probably get yer ass kicked all the time! "but, but, but mommy, all I said was that America sucked and those rednecks started kicking my ass for no reason!"
So gtech is recruiting people to go get killed, or kill people, man thats sick. All while he sits behind his PC in texas spouting propoganda. Now thats probably the most unpatriotic, cowardly thing someone could do for a living.
