I have literally thousands of domains registered at Registerfly and transferred to with no problems during the last 4 years.

However, issues like those discussed here occur, and resolved as easy as placing a support ticket.

In fact I keep transferring domains out of Godaddy, which is the registrar where I have found the major number of annoyances and not so cheap prices in comparison with Registerfly, Dynadot and Domainsite where most of my domains reside.

I'd advise anyone to stay away from Registerfly.com
They used to be OK, but they are having serious problems now it appears.

    Same issues here...

I renewed a bunch of domains with registerfly. They kept having problems, it took over a month for them to sort it out. It seems that they were actually transferring from their old reseller association with enom, to their own service. After that experience I wanted to transfer my domains out of there. NOPE, can't do it for 2 months because it's considered a new transfer and not a renewal. Cute registerfly, real cute. In 2 months, my 100+ domains with them will be transferred.

Wow! I am so glad I moved away from them when they gave me hell 4 yrs ago. They were small time registrars at that time. I moved away and never looked back.

They are horrible with support, lie like insane, it would have been cute or funny if it wasn't a serious issue. I would vote them the WORST DOMAIN registrar (or sub registrar) among the large ones.

I love godaddy for the support/interface & speed, but their upsell and promotion games suck. WHO PAYS 9 bucks for domain privacy? GODADDY needs to get a clue when almost 80% of the top registrars offer it for free!

I still have most domain with godaddy as I get a decent price (about $7). I am planning to move most of my domains to directi gradually.

Live Chat on Registerfly is almost always down.
They apear to avoid customer questions
so that they don't have to fix them. Usually
they can't or don't fix them. They tell you to
call back when their system is working.

Your domain was registered at enom via Registerfly. I have support tickets 4 weeks old that have not been answered by the idiots at Registerfly. If you contact Registerfly, they can't do anything if enom doesn't let them.

Create an enom account (if you don't have one).

Take a screen shot of the domain showing in your Registerfly account.

Call enom and ask to speak to Elida Flores and tell her you want to push the domain to your enom account.

You will be charged $29.99 for the renewal after you provide her with proof of domain ownership. She can make the domain go live instantly.

MJ, if you help me get it back, I will put up a landing page featuring banners for both of our sites and direct all the traffic to it. Am way busy these days and don't have time dealing with those dudes. if you get anything accomplished, lemme know and help me get it back if you can.

I only know the process because I went through almost the same exact thing - except I had paid Registerfly to renew the domains way in advance of expiration.

Registerfly and enom are in a beef. Registerfly can't renew your domain because it has to be transferred to them first - and enom wasn't/isn't allowing this.

Enom will only deal with the owner of the domain. You have protectfly on the domain so you need to "prove" to them you own it (and registerfly won't take off the protectfly until the domain is renewed (catch22).

I believe you are the only person who can get the domain back. If you do nothing, you simply lose the domain (I think you have a 28 day grace period).

OK, is there a certain email adress that I contact at enom? Normally I would email sales@ since that always seems to get fast results.

I am having the same issues that are discussed here, but with a small twist.

The domains that they are not renewing for me are .ca domains that are managed through their reseller agreement with Tucows.

Same 'everything will be fixed in 24 hours' responses to my support tickets, for issues that have been ongoing for three weeks now.

I've emailed Tucows directly and I hope to hear back soon - I'll update my post if I hear more.

I'd say this adds a bit more credibility to the rumours of bankruptcy if they are having similar issues with multiple registrars.

    <sigh> :(

RegisterFly.com is the worlds 2nd worst registrar only beaten out by Yahoo domains - RegisterFly.com is a total rippoff and they are a complete and total unprofessional company - we have had soo many problems with them that we actually just let many of our domains just expire because they will never release the domains to another company - I threaten to sue them and they locked my account and kept us from admining my domains.... as far as customer support , www.RegisterFly.com domain registrar really SUCKS - DO NOT BUY DOMAINS FROM THEM

Anyone interested in joining a class action suit against registerfly.com can contact me and I will give them the names of a lawfirm who is handling a suit against them

RegisterFly is the worst registrar ever. I had problems with domain Registration, NameServer Change and transfer. There customer support usually doesn't respond to the customer questions. I don't know how far they can go with such attitude.

Actually Yahoo! smallbusinness services are not up to there standards, but they are still far better then RegisterFly.

Damn, I just noticed this thread. I've only got one domain at RF, but it expired yesterday even though I paid them in advance to renew it. Grrr... and they keep sending me automated emails saying the domain is going to expire and I should pay to renew it.
