I have selected the "newest tweets first" option. Now, every time my phone goes to sleep while I'm on Twitter, when I "wake it up" the timeline automatically refreshes to the newest tweet instead of staying where I left off. This drives me crazy, as I like to read up to catch up. Is there a way to stop it from doing this? Thanks.
Im sure thats the point of Newest tweets first haha. You gotta switch back to Go back Home to stay where you were at.
I thought Newest Tweets First just means they will show up on your timeline in chronological order, with the newest at the top, not that you automatically go to the top.
Tap your avatar in the top right (on the mobile app) or click More on the left rail (on the website). Click Settings and privacy. Click Accessibility. Toggle on Reduce motion. Maybe try this. But yeah maybe not
It works well when you follow just a handful of people but the more you follow the more annoying it gets. They should have a manual refresh button option where you refresh the feed whenever you want to.
Well, if I've been off it too long, I don't because Twitter only goes back so far. Today, for instance, after it refreshed I could only go back 4 hours.
