Review this Image Tool please (kinda online photoshop) Hi, Kindly review the image design tool on this page: https://vmapp.org/imageMake/logo.php I don't need HTML website design reviews, design is not done yet. Review the tool please, quality of images its generating, is it easy enough to use etc. If you would like me to add something else etc. This is not like regular "logo designers" which we come across online. In those tools, webmasters have already made templates and you can just write your company's name there. This one is something more like photoshop, but online. It can do some of the things that photoshop does, like color a random shape or text, gradient fill it, skew it, distort perspective it, drop different types of shadows, give a brightness shine effect to one side, etc. Of course its not as advanced as photoshop, nowhere even close I think, but I tried to replicate some functionality using PHP alone, no imagemagic. The parts I like most are control of gradient percentages, and the CSS type "auto positioning of layers", and auto deciding suitable width and height of background. Something like what browsers do with images and CSS float. For example, while adding layers, instead of giving it a fixed x,y position on the background, you can give it a CSS value like "right" When you will click "Make Logo" button, processing starts, and it will auto fit "this layer" to the right of "previous layer" processed. Keywords supported are: "top, bottom, left, right" The example image which you see at the bottom of the page, that is completely CSS styled, no fixed positions given. The width and height of the total background was also auto decided by the tool itself, I only specified colors, left the "background width/height" section empty. Once the image is made, it will be displayed at the bottom of the page (where default image is). You will also see 2 links "download VMapp file", and "download png file". Download them both. VMapp file is like a PSD file. You can later upload it and make modifications to existing images. No need to remake the whole thing again. Basically a json set, nothing complicated... You can move layers up/down much like how you use "align layers" in photoshop. Use the arrows next to a layer's name. By the way, that arrow was also made using this tool itself. Minimized a shape from the gallery too much and used the circle setting. Another thing it supports is "short hand for colors". So if you want to have full white color, you need not type full hex ""FFFFFF" or "255.255.255", simply type "f" or "ff" etc and it will accept it. You can type just "b5" instead of "b5b5b5" Try adding one or two text layers, one or two shape layers and click the "make logo" button. When you make a new layer, click the "Add" button. "Save" button is to save changes to existing layers and not to save new layers. Everything is keyboard based, excuse me for that. I did that so that even people with very bad eyesight can use it and they need not struggle with mouse... Please let me know what you think about it. My main concern is the quality of image that will be generated finally. Thanks
I pressed generate logo and nothing happened, as well maybe you should consider less options to fill ? just keep a few main ones, will be easier to use.
I used a .jpg image as a background, chose some options, clicked "Make your logo image" and got a blank image. I downloaded it too as a .png and it's just a blank (white) image. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or there's a flaw in the script that makes this happen.
Thanks for trying this I think you guys are getting blank images because you are not adding "layers" on the image. Layers are on right hand side, you can type text there, or you can select a shape from gallery, or give a URL of one. Make sure to click "ADD" button once you have done your layer settings. @qwikad.com Did you downloaded the VMapp file also, if yes then please please give me a link to the file. If you want a full stretch image as background image, then enter its URL in the box below this line: "Optional Place another image on background? Enter URL of your image:" In the next box, enter "full" keyword. The image supplied by you will now resize to fit your entire background. Next, you can add shapes and text layers on right hand side. Same concept like photoshop, there's a background, and there are layers on top of it. All layers need to be "added" to background by clicking "Add" button. Like photoshop shows you a list of all layers in a little window, likewise, here also you will see a list of added layers as list just under that "Add" button. @Em&em I understand that its slightly complicated for someone who has not used it at all, but I wanted people to be able to add as many layers as they want, and even position them automatically. Its really very easy to make logos with this. I am already using these logos on my different sites now. You don't have to fill all boxes, just 3-5 that are needed for basic processing. I think you also got blank white image because you did not added a layer from right hand side. Type some text in the right hand side (first box) Type color in second box below it, like #000000 Then click "ADD" button below. Now click Make LOGO button. It will not be a blank image, your text will be there on it. Now if you want, you can style the text with gradient effects, shadows or other styles.
I did a basic one, attaching PNG and also VMapp file. Download and reupload the vmapp file to the tool to view the settings I used for this one. Has only 1 layer, and a gradient background. https://vmapp.org/imageMake/logo4.vmapp VMapp file is only base64 encoded json string, nothing else.
@Ayoub benali01 Can you show me the VMAPP file it generated? Rename it .txt and attach here. Most likely here's what you did: 1. You selected an image from gallery, 2. Did your effect settings, clicked "Add" 3. Then you edited settings in the form, changed to text etc, but did not clicked "Add" button. This is probably why the text layer did not got added to the image. Its much like how photoshop works You have a background (left side settings) Then you can add many layers on top of it (right hand side settings) Each layer needs to be "Added" to the background. "Save" button is for saving existing layer only. Finally click Make Logo button to make the image.
I really like this site and site idea. I am sure, this site is going to become famous soon as this is having good feature. I too is going to use this side in coming days.
I think that this project would really be a lot more useful, if it had a "colourwheel" that allows the user to intuitivly pick a colortheme and then finetune it later. something like https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel => select a few settings, add text => first result => finetune with the way/settings/route you are currently initially doing things => done
I tried to do some R&D or creating test logo with crown image that I selected and give some other option as well but at the last when I am clicking on "Make your Logo image" button, I am getting only white color plane image.
@uday_yadav2 In the right hand side column, where you selected the crown image, just below that there is another box: "color of text or image:" In that box, give it a color code, like #000000 or 0.0.0 (code for black) Then click "Add" button to add the layer to background. and then hit "Make Logo" button. It should work. You either did not "added" the layer to background, or you did not gave a color. This is why you got a blank white image.
@mytechiestuff This tool is complete. Its live on the site. I can keep adding features to it, but all he basic stuff is done already. Right now, you: Create layers (text or images), add styles to them, add colours to them, including gradient, drop shadows etc Some features like skew and perspective, resize or rotate, stroke are also available.
I need one or more simple, free and easy to use image tools for a site aimed at users of internet. Can not be complicated because the average user has very low attension span. Something like "change a picture to a painting" and/or add colours to a black & white picture. Etc. I know that all those features are available in numerous online image editors. The point is that a tool that only does one or two interesting things quickly attracts a huge number of users who would normally not fiddle with an image editor. So can I buy a simple tool from you, which when installed in the site, can allow the user to do the above? Thanks
