Hi guys. One of my projects has 4 keywords. 3 of the main words are on page 1. But another word for 3 months remains on the second page of the 11th rank. Optimized content, long keywords used, and today dropped 3 places. What is the reason for a page staying on the site? While with other words the same page is at the top.
We don't have nearly enough information about your situation to make a full assessment, but typically, creating more keyword focused content raises the ranking for that keyword.
Maybe the competition high on the remaining keyword. You need to stuff keywords/words on other pages on the website in a smart way to increase KD and make it rich interlinking.
The rankings keep on changing and it doesn't mean that if a thing is working for one particular keyword for one website then the same technique will give you similar results with all keywords and websites. You need to access the results and keep on changing things in your SEO to get the best results.
I think that you might be misunderstanding the algorhytms, or perhaps it may be the competition on this keyword. There can be a bunch of factors actually. I`ve seen a good article about this stuff here https://www.seoquake.com/blog/seo-for-beginners/ you can also try this article https://www.semrush.com/blog/biggest-seo-mistakes/ and I`m sure moz or ahrefs will have you covered as well.
Just realized that the links are not clickable, here they are again: https://www.seoquake.com/blog/seo-for-beginners/ https://www.semrush.com/blog/biggest-seo-mistakes/
Francis, I think I recall that a new member has to have at least a certain amount of posts (10?) before his/her links become clickable. EDIT: Interesting — I noticed that when I posted my post, the links became clickable on my post, probably because I'm well over that required minimum of posts to make links clickable.
I am in a similar position. My website keeps getting stucked in the 2nd page for a particular keyword for a very long time. Still trying to push it to first page
A quick suggestion: try adding a few internal links from other relevant pages of your website pointed at the page you are trying to get bumped to the 1st page for that specific keyword. And use that keyword in the anchor text of those internal links.
With latest algorithms, probably you just need to push a bit the core vitals and speed, then the results will move to top 10.
