Pardon me. Im new to affiliate marketing. Here goes. Do i drive traffic BEFORE the launch date or ON launch day itself ( for a JVZoo product launch ) if Im not using any email lists? If I need to build up traffic to the launch site, will my cookie be valid for any sale made on launch day? Thanks in advance!
This is from the JV Zoo knowledgebase: "There is no expiration on cookies set by an affiliate when using a JVZoo approved affiliate link. If you have multiple products and the affiliate is approved for all of them then the affiliate will get credit for the sale. Even if the customer doesn’t click that specific link, the cookie has already been set for the affiliate, and will remain set for all approved products until the customer clears their cookies or clicks on another affiliate’s link."
I am not sure about cookies ,but going with promoting new products its the way to go .For examplr if you make a review video on youtube you will have no competition at all and you will get a lot of traffic
I do not know if this applies to affiliate marketing, but when I was involved with re-selling other manufacturers' products, many of them had strict rules about when you could mention/promote a new product. Often, you would be under embargo (i.e., prohibited from even mentioning a new product) until the manufacturer had launched or otherwise released news of the new product. Be sure that you are aware of any such prohibitions before announcing anything.
umm..if you are not sure about then why dont you do it afterwards? Also, you can do build up and then launch it officially.
Your cookie question is answered, but I don't understand how you will drive traffic on launch day if you do not have a list? Are you thinking about paid ad campaigns on search and social media? If you are paying, then why not start the campaign earlier, before launch, direct the traffic to your own website and build your list?
From my personal experience, any "pre-launch / coming soon" offers I ever received ended up in nothing for me. Yeah, I might've visited the "coming soon" site out of curiosity, but I never visited it afterwards. I'd wait till it's fully functional and then I'd start driving traffic to it if I were you.
If i can pre launch i would be able to leverage on first wave of customers which has higher retention value for backend sales. I would prefer to spend my time on building something that is productive in terms of revenue. TQ for suggesting anyway.
Yes Im aware of it. Im more into digital information products, which has more flexibility. Thanks for dropping a line.
If you drive traffic before the launch without having an email list already in place, how will you get these people to come back to the affiliate vendor's site? Drive the traffic on the launch day. But it would be best if you had a list, built up a relationship with them, notified them of the bbn product, prepared them before launch day, and then sent them to the product site when it launches. Without building a list first these people have no reason to trust your recommendation - especially if the product price is high.
