What a stupid question, don't they have Google where you live?

In brief, http links are not secure, https links are more secure. Google "http versus https" and you'll get lots of good info. (Your question is pretty vague, so I'm guessing that's what you were asking about.)

If someone is new at webmastering, there are no "stupid questions," just a bunch of questions they don't know the answer to yet. I took my first computer course in 1965 and am still learning. Civility and helpfulness work far better than ad hominem criticisms.

Some context would have been useful.

How did the question arise, what did they think it might mean.

HTTP is a web protocol, short for Hyper Tex Transfer Protocol, a "connection type".
HTTPS is a secure version of the same.

When you open a website in your browser like this: (example)
    https://tipsox.com/
then browser sends a HTTP request to the server of that domain.
Server then returns the website page.

If the request was like this:
    ftp://tipsox.com/
then you would have got connected to FTP, File Transfer Protocol
    A different type of connection.

To make a very long story short,
all web addresses of websites you see in browser, these are all HTTP connections.
Sometimes HTTPS, "S" is for secure.

Whenever someone says "HTTP link", they simply mean URL of webpage, any URL.

It's because of clowns like him that forums are turning to shit, look at his posts, he's giving advice in the seo forum and he doesn't even know what a http link is, he's posting shit just for the sake of posting.

In that we have people who can't even form a question that's comprehensible...

Or that some people respond immediately with a sarcastic "google it"...

Or that if you try and give a correct answer with a full explanation the mouth-breathers go running for the hills with "Aaah, wall of text"...

...and if that correct answer contains an uncomfortable truth or a little harsh language it's magically transformed into a personal attack?

Also, when you Google things like this. Most of the times, what you get are answers from other forums or question Websites like Quora. Meaning that if everyone online responded with "Google it", there will not be answers anywhere

That may have been correct 20 years ago, but this kind of information is already out there and has been for years so the question is pointless.

The way DP is heading, it could honestly use some updated questions and threads. I mean shit on the homepage, "most popular threads" are dated back to 2008... wake up DP.

The HTTP Link entity-header field provides a means for serializing one or more links in HTTP headers.

The HTTP Link entity-header field provides a means for serialising one or more links in HTTP headers. It is semantically equivalent to the HTML <link> element.
