Citing sources in blog posts

Discussion in 'Copywriting' started by Lenakins25, Feb 13, 2020.

I'm new to the blogging scene and have a question about how to cite sources. I can easily search how to cite sources in blog posts, but I'm wondering if I'm supposed to cite all my sources at the end of the blog post or if I have to cite them all within the blog post as well. Also, how do I know what I need to source and what I don't? Please reply, thank you!

There are many ways to cite a source, you can mention the source at the beginning of the concerned piece of content and then provide the details in the form of a quote. You can also write the concerned statements followed by the source's mention, but the first method would be more preferrable.

I would say to cite the source within the blog post, immediately after the quotation. And is nice to include a hyperlinked text to the original content, as well.

You can also mention the source in a conversational way and link it to it right before you quote the source, or end the quote with a link to the source.
