NFL Super Bowl 2020 Predictions

Well, we have just passed the halfway mark of the season. The New England Patriots and the San Francisco 49ers are 9 and 1. The Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers, and New Orleans Saints are 8 and 2. Big question in the AFC is can the Patriots get past the Ravens, given that it was the Ravens that gave them their one loss and in a convincing way, IMO. That said, Belichick has demonstrated the knack of observing and adapting, so if they meet in the play-offs, I suspect the Patriots will have a different approach. So, I am predicting that it will be the Pats in the Super Bowl. On the NFC side, I kind if like the 49ers. Would be an interesting match up: Brady against his former heir apparent, Garropolo.

It's a bit early for me to really think much on this. Although I was surprised at the 49ers until I talked about them with my son (they've always been his team for some reason). He says they've been selectively building the team over the last few years.

Well, the Super Bowl is Sunday and it is Kansas City versus San Francisco. I think that KC, with its explosive offense under Mahomes, is the likely winner. Who do you predict?

I think you're right but I'll likely cheer on the 9ers.

For the first time in a while, I will not have a horse in the race. Will mostly be watching to see the commercials, halftime show, etc.

That's mostly for my son though.

Last year after the Super Bowl my mother placed a bet for KC to win this year. But to offset that she now has a bet on SF.

Anymore I watch as much for the commercials as I do the game. Although the commercials last year left me feeling let down.

Kinda makes it uncomfortable though - too many beers with no drain breaks...

KC is favored by 1.5 points right now. It is a changing number right now, of course, and probably will not settle down before the weekend.

They are the favorites. Mahomes is impressive. The key for him now and in ensuing seasons is to not get injured. His style of play invites some serious hitting and potential for injury, imo.

Instead of playing a blame game they should just give full credit to the KC team's win. They played well. Yes, there were somewhat questionable calls, but virtually EVERY game has them.

SF played as well as or better than KC in the first half. However, they were overmatched in the second half and, especially in the 4th quarter. Best team won, as far as I am concerned. Jimmy G., in fact, looked like the inexperienced quarterback that he is while Mahomes showed some real grit by playing through his earlier interceptions and other mistakes.

I rarely follow sports, but have been the past few years because of the history that the Patriots were making. No real withdrawal for me... :)

I believe in the Buffalo Bills this year. The teams have the pieces to make a deep run. They have one of the most harmonized, deep rosters in the organization. Allen is showing signals of making a remarkable 3 year improvement. His throws are graceful and steady.

The rams will beat the bengals this year because they have more veterans and less rookies. The beans don't thinly what they are doing the rams have training all year long and knew they would be here. they have not pressure

Neither one is my team. I'll watch it just to see if Bengals win. The odds are against them but they beat Chiefs so there's a chance. My ideal game would've been Chiefs beating Rams in the SB.

I know little about either team. There was a slight thread of interest for me in the play-offs due to Jimmy G. of the 49ers and his past ties to the Patriots. It would have been cool to see him matched up against Brady in the SB as Brady's finale, but it was not to be as neither team made it. It is the end of an era, of course, with Brady the GOAT retiring.
