I was just wondering if somebody had success to join a job from LinkedIn? Personally I think the hire rate is really low and overcrowded with candidates so people rarely get hired. Do you share the same opinion ?
I too thought the hire rate was low on Linkedin and thought it was useless at one point, but then someone I know actually got contacted via Linkedin from Amazon and Hulu. They found her profile and invited her to come in for an interview and she currently works at Hulu as of now because of that. I think if you put in a lot of effort on your profile and gain a lot of connections, you’ll attract more employers.
Isn't the same like working for Google or other big unicorn company? If you're good they will hire you. That's how they got so big - employees!
7 years ago I applied to a job on LinkedIn. I was hired. I was even contacted by the majority of companies I applied to. Even to this day I will from time to time have recruiters and people in leadership roles contact me to gauge my interest in a position they are filling. Some times it's a position that checks all of my boxes and some times it's a position I would not consider. LinkedIn is a very strong job market place.
Stupid message. People who get hired from an employment ad aren't lucky. They are people who meet the job requirements and make a great impression with the interviewer. LinkedIn IS a site to specifically find work and network.
