If you accept a guest post from someone, do you just copy the content and start a new post, the same way you do when you write your own posts, and the only difference is that you mention the other blogger as the author of the post and leave a link to their site? And should the link be at the start of the post or the end?
That's pretty much it. Put the link where you think it should go. And be brave enough to reject a post that is rubbish.
Another method to put guest post in your blog, is by creating an account in your blog. Name the account just like the one below; Username: guestpost or your email name Password: Author: Guest Post Email: Role: Administrator or editor So when someone send you a guest post, login to your wordpress using the guest post account and post it there. In the front-end of your blog post, you will see the post and the author will Guest Post. The only thing to do to differentiate guest post from one another, is to create an author byline for each of the authors that write the guest post. Place it at the beginning or the end of the post with two links. The link will contain the quest post author website link and social media account link. But you will need to exercise caution when accepting guest post to your blog.
The link should fit well in the article, and you can show it more than once (or have a click of a word/s in the article direct to the persons personal blog). Don´t just put it anywhere, otherwise that looks unprofessional. Like for example, ...."for the best yoga courses you can check out Lucy Yoga and Meditation classes found in new york, arizona, and ....." (and have the words Lucy yoga and meditation classes linked to his blog if you click on those words). Not sure if i explained that clearly.
When accepting guest posts, ensure the following: 1. A link at the end of the articles and in the section saying about the guest blogger must be to the main site. Not to any articles or promotional areas. 2. Ensure the site is valid and do not have any issues with google or it will impact your blog too. 3. ensure the article is not posted anywhere else than your blog. They can post it to somewhere else but only after you have posted in your blog. 4. Have a guideline for guest writers and mention all these things. Search for "What to care when accepting guest articles", "Do and Don't when accepting guest posts" etc. You will get better idea on how guest post can bring your blog up or take down.
Usually I would put a link in the guest post authors bio and use natural links in the guest post for "you" the blog or website owner. Hope that helps.
