Why India is the Best!

All these about you just talked about India. B'caz you have in your mind and heart. We love people not commerciality.

 

The point I am trying to make here is that India has NEVER existed as a whole united & sovereign nation before 1947. Before British rule, India (even the present day map of India) was was governed by multiple empires all exercising sovereignty over their own territories. Therefore, India as a sovereign nation has existed only for 59 years.

EDIT: And as this thread is about "India" & not "the indian subcontinent", posting historical attributes unique to the Indian subcontinent (which includes present day Pakistan) & passing them off as India's (as a nation's) doesn't make sense.

Bharata according to Hindu legend was the first king to conquer all world as known to the Vedic Aryans, uniting it into a single entity which was named after him as Bharatavarsha.

According to the Mahabharata, Bharata's empire covered all of the Indian subcontinent, Afghanistan and Persia. The Republic of India is also known as Bharat after Bharata.

Please, let us stick to facts (historically documented) & rational discussion.

 

Dear friend, I am not interested in making arguments here..

All the above are Historically documented. Why you are adamant on this that India is only 59 years old.

Ask to your grand parents or aged members of your family about this and know their opinion. No one will share this opinion of yours that India is only 59 years old.

 

The word legend is by definition a story about mythical or supernatural beings or events. Wikipedia describes the above as legend, which seems appropriate for anything out of the Mahabharatha, an epic text that talks about mythical superhuman creatures & flying chariots.

Opinions? I'm stating the fact that India became a sovereign nation only 59 years ago & therefore it's history is limited to 59 years. The Indian subcontinent however does have a very long & diverse history. The present nation of India is not the same as the Indian subcontinent.

imagine that there is a person named “ABC”. He met with an accident and lost one of his hands and legs. His name remains “ABC” and all things about him is the same as before. Just he is not having his one arms & one legs, that’s all,.Using an artificial leg and some medical help he can live absolutely OK. But it is unfortunate to be involved in this kind of accident, isnt it.

Uhh dude eXe, Bharata has historical significance.

Secondly, almost all of India has been under one rule at several different rulers' time.

- ChandraGupta Maurya II
- Bindusara
- Asoka the Great
- Akbar
- Jehangir
- Aurangzeb

Akbar, Jehangir and Aurangzeb were of course foreign rulers, but India existed as a single entity under them as well.

AAh, dont mention aurangzeb...it was thanks to his horrible rule that India finally disintegrated...but yeah, the largest part of India was under him

Going back to Bharatvarsha (discussing it hypothetically, still a legend until someone can cite soures), the map includes present day Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Afghanistan. Expansionist empires reigning over the Indian subcontinent # India as the nation it is today.

Which is obviously incorrect. Assuming Bharatvarsha did exist, it was expansionist, just like many of the empires after it. It did invade other "countries"(empires, territories) to broaden it's borders.

 

No you are wrong Exe since India empire had most of afghanistan, Bangladesh under control These territories are still Indian territorries and also

India is the only country that does not invade other than these areas like afghans Ghazni or Ghori and like the famous sunset empire and also like Americans who are invading other countries


Whoever it be in the past in future is bright for India all we want is good leader who can withstand all these political forces

He should be as strong as Hitler in his mind and he should have the good atitude and public caring for his people I think more or less one is going to emerge out of the woods

Also according to astrologers in a weekly published years ago that Indian would be under the leadership of a Dictator in the coming years

Also here is my point all of those areas were under Hindu control and Muslims came there only After 750AD

and also I can show you some historical evidence in this regard as

Greek King Alexander encountered some stiff resistance by Hindus on the bank of Indus (Porus was the king there)

 

India empire? There were several different empires reigning over the subcontinent. Granted, some of them may have brought the majority of the subcontinent under their control, but to do so: they had to invade other empires & territories. This refutes seoindiaweb's statement that "India is the only country which never invaded any coutry in last 10000 years". I still uphold that India as a country did not exist prior to 59 years & that's a known fact. But even apologists in this thread who claim that most of India was at some point in history under the rule of one empire can not deny that to get most of India under their control, the empires invaded other empires' territories.
