The forum, itself, is fine as evidenced by how popular it used to be years ago. What has changed is the participants and the participation rate. This is less of a reflection on DP than it is on the overall Internet trends that are occurring. Social media sites like FaceBook, LinkedIn, Instagram, SnapChat, etc., have become the "go-to" places for most people, so traditional forums like DP have seen a dramatic drop in activity.
99% of all spam never sees the light of day. Once in a while some does get through, and when it does, report it.
Interesting. I feel like I'm sifting through a lot to see what is "real" and what is "fake". Because it also feels like there is a alot of brain power in this forum. Will report when I see it. Thanks, mmerlinn.
i think its great forum , almost everytime if i need smtn i can see it here ,people nice and always ready to help ,thanks to all of you
Not bad forum. But I think it could have more potential for current forum's situation than it has as of now. It's up to the Admins/staff to innovate and keep it going
I wasn't here when it was all "cool and hip". Everyone claims that the cool kids left it a while ago. It hasn't changed much from 2012.
LOL, I have been on DP for 13+ years and do not recall any "cool kids." In fact, this is a Webmaster/Internet Marketer forum and you spell such members by using the letters "g_e_e_k" or "n_e_r_d" so I think that such talk is just wishful/romanticized thinking on some people's part... I still enjoy and benefit from participating on DP, despite its overall activity being way down and with or without "cool kids."
I never thought the forum was too spammy back it 2006 when I first joined. It was exciting. Since then I think the admin has gotten a bit too hands on. Haven't posted here in years.
