Hi. I recently paid 1k for a marketing course online that wound up not delivering anything that was promised in the course. Does anyone know if paypal would be likely to return my money under these conditions. I'm praying that I didn't just throw this money down the drain.
So i suggest you contact the merchant you bough from for a refund I personally have no experience with this course .. Paypal is just the middle man here i think ,so you have to contact the company/person you bought from for a refund if still available ..most have it for 30 days ..when did you buy
I bought it about a week ago but unfortunately there wasn't a 30-day money back on this one. I know there are some scenarios where paypal will refund your money but I wasn't sure if this was something that would fall under that category.
Did you start a dispute? These are the protection options paypal offers: https://www.paypal.com/us/brc/article/customer-disputes-claims-chargebacks-bank-reversals
I've had PayPal approve some of my disputes and I've had them deny some. I suggest you take qwikad's advise and file one.
File a dispute NOW. Don't wait even one more hour. PP MAY have a hold on the seller's funds. If so, it is easier to get a reversal BEFORE the funds are released to the seller than getting a reversal after PP no longer has the funds in hand. Worst case is that you lose. Best case is you get your money back. In the future, to avoid scams like these, be sure to do your due diligence BEFORE you commit yourself to a potential loss.
As stated by the other members, the obvious way forward is to file a dispute with PayPal --- you can't lose, more
