You know the blue bubbles on the message icon that shows you how many DMs you have? For some reason I’m not seeing that even when I have unread messages. And yet I can’t see it from notifications regarding posts. Anyone know what’s up with that?

Maybe you have muted your notifications from the people you don't follow? You can check it in the settings -> notifications -> advanced filters. Also, it could be just the cache or it's just a bug from Twitter side.

Maybe something in your devices that's interfering with the notifications.

It's a good question. Did you download / install something lately? Like an adblocker or a software?

Also, did you try to clear cookies and restart your computer? I would also try this: I'd create a new account and then send a DM to my new account from my old one to see if it's working. If it is, then the issue is on the account not on the device level.

I’ve tried restarting my phone and sending messages from another account. Neither worked. It must be something wrong with Twitter since I’m having the same issue on my computer, the app, and in my phone‘s browser.

Looks like that might be the case. You will have to contact them. Not sure if this contact page is going to help, but give it a try: https://help.twitter.com/en/contact-us

I noticed this morning that some of my accounts (I have several) are doing the same thing. I almost never check my DM/Notifications so I didn't realize that it wasn't just your account.

Wait so it’s not just an issue on my end? Huh.
