Buying [Hiring] Copy Writers & Finance/Business/Marketing Writers

Discussion in 'Content Creation' started by IsabelleZammit, Oct 28, 2019.

    Hi all,

I'm hiring copy writers to join my team. You must have at least 3 years experience writing professionally and be able to show me samples of past work in Word Document format.

You must be a native English speaker with experience writing for mainly an American target audience.

My main need right now is Copy Writers who excel in writing web copy and sales writing such as landing pages and sales letters.

I'm also looking for writers who specialize in finance (including crypto and casino/igaming), business, and marketing.

Other topics such as technology would be considered too.

If you take 5 days to reply to an email or if you disappear once a project has been assigned to you, please don't waste my time and yours by applying. I'm looking for serious writers who are looking to build a long-term relationship with someone who can send them steady work once they've proven themselves and their reliability.

Rates start at $40 per 1,000 words. The exact rate will be noted in the project brief once I have the first project for you.

If you tick all the boxes, feel free to PM me and tell me more about you and your experience. If you have a degree, please mention it.

    Thanks,
    Bella

I've received a total of 6 applications and they're all from non-native English speakers. Unless you're a native English speaker, please don't apply. There's a reason why that is a must. I don't want to waste your time or mine.

If you're a native English speaker and tick the boxes mentioned above, PM me.

Hello, I am a native English writer, however, I do not have 3 years of experience and so I will probably be discarded. But I wish you the best of luck.

You used three commas in one sentence. All you would have had to do was to write the sentence properly in the first place and not used any commas at all. Perhaps you should be "discarded".

You wrote "to do was to write" which consists of far too many "to's" in one sentence.

All you had to do was write the sentence properly the first time. This would have prevented the need of using multiple "to's" within the sentence. Perhaps you too must be discarded. Btw, you should acknowledge that people don't aim to be grammatically correct whilst writing comments.

Quick question - what's wrong with using three commas, especially when the sentence is still accurate?

    Spoiltdiva:
You use far too many words when typing a sentence, I guess that's why you are named 'spoilt'.

Another quick question - Are you a content writer? If yes I suppose you do it just because you want money for doing less work than required (extending the length of a sentence to reduce the amount of points needed within your task leads to reduced facts but more words causing a greater income). The sentences below are what you should have written.

You used three commas in one sentence which could have been prevented, had you written the sentence properly. Perhaps you should be "discarded".

I am ONLY a native English speaker and see NOTHING grammatically wrong with EITHER of the above sentences. Can they be rewritten? Of course, all sentences can be rewritten multiple ways. Does that make any of the sentences better than any of the others? No.

Bottom line is that both sentences are grammatically correct and both sentences convey the writer's meaning to whomever reads them. Different strokes for different folks. All a matter of opinion.

    Just do not discard me.

Message me with your experience and samples, and we'll take it from there. If you're still a newbie (i.e. have only been writing for a few months), I doubt it will work.

The reason I wrote the 3 years experience requirement is to eliminate those people who aren't really serious about what they do. Maybe you're not aware of how many people dream of making money online, claim to be writers and apply for these postings and then do not deliver when a project is assigned to them.

By spending so much time vetting those applications and interviewing such "writers", I'm meanwhile doing a disservice to the writers who are actually on my team as I could be investing that time to finding them more gigs.

    That's why I try to avoid time-wasters.

A writer who takes pride in his/her work should always strive to be grammatically correct. In any event, it appears that you may have scored the gig. Try not to screw it up.;)

Thank you for your input. If you're interested in this gig, I'd be happy to hear from you and we can discuss it further in private.

Goku hasn't scored any gigs. I wouldn't take anyone on board unless I'm confident they can do the job well. Every one has to submit samples and go through an interviewing process. Anyone can claim to be whoever they want to behind a keyboard which is why the interviewing process is even more important for a remote position.

I appreciate you considering me for this gig. However I'm no longer writing for a living. In fact like you, I hire writers from time to time.

Vous parlez un peu Francais? You need to acquire 3 likes from 3 different members in order to be established first. Once this happens a *Like* button will appear at the bottom right hand side of every post.

Oh, that make sense then. That's why I don't see the Like button.

I used to study French for 5 years at school between the age of 11 and 16, and I actually got Grade A when I sat for my final exam at 16. 15 years later? I don't remember much, which is a pity, as I was quite fluent!

I studied English, Spanish and German at La Sorbonne (Parthonais) in Paris. Where I received my masters. My natural language is French.

    Good luck finding your writers.:)

I checked your profile, that's why I said thank you in French :D

My mothertongue is Maltese as I'm from Malta. I've been expected to speak "good-enough" English probably since I was a year old!

Thank you for your kind wishes. It was nice to connect with you.
