Google reviews for no physical business

Our company is offering some service online.

We would like to start having Google reviews for the company.

In the Google guidelines it reads: “ Listings on Google My Business can only be created for businesses that either have a physical location that customers can visit, or that travel to visit customers where they are.”

    We don't qualify for either.

I'm sure that other online business like us do have google reviews, though.

    Am I missing something? Thanks.

If I read your Google quote correctly, only those businesses that do business face-to-face qualify. If you don't, then either do business face-to-face or find some other way to advertise.

There are different sites that you can get reviews from like yelp, facebook, bizjournals, etc. I guess it really depends too on where your target audience is.

Use the legal address your business is registered to.

@sarahk, Yes, but what if Google finds out? Wouldn't it be a shame to build reviews on something that might collapse?

@GeoffT, ineed, I was thinking of going for TrustPilot.

Absolutely. You have to be open to people turning up on your doorstep etc. The upside for consumers is they can check the address is believable.

Eventually I will go for other reviews platforms where I can be in accordance with their guidelines. Thanks :)

I made it using virtual office provider in Delaware with phone number and address with suite number, he was my registered agent also.
However you can get the service separately.
I also got EIN sent to this address.

That's going to backfire when customers check the address.
