To optimize a website for Italy and US

    I have in mind a project to do.
    I would create it for Italian people but since I know the English language, to attract more visitors I'd expand it to England and the USA. Basically, it could be international.
    Which are the techniques to make it optimized for international traffic on SE?
    Obviously, it must be in Italian and English, but there are some things to care to make it visible not only in Italy?

    Make one version of your site in English that would target US and UK visitors. And make one version in Italian to target visitors from Italy. It will be the general idea. You don't need to do much optimizations for International traffic, get a .com domain and build a site in English.

    Just create an English sub-domain for that website to target the US and UK users, the major domain for Italy users.

    Try to include separate pages for italy (Italian language) and US (English language). Put some content on them especially on Italian page language, some tips that will benefit your target audience.

    There are some ways to omtimize a websit for italy and USA. The ways are following.
    a) Research your keywords and show level of competition in USA and italy
    b) Secure a great domain name in USA and italy similar language
    c) Optimize by country, not language
    d) Target the right search engines
    e) Building in-country links.
