You should make note of the following questions before purchasing a WP theme 1)Does the seller offer “Money Back Guarantee”? 2)Is overall rating 4.8+ on ThemeForest? 3)Is the theme older than 6 months? 4)Is there often a word “bug” in comments or reviews? 5)Has the author of the WP theme been on the market for at least 3 years? 6)Is the theme selling more than 1,000 licenses per year? 7)Is theme updated at least once per 2-3 months? Is theme updated more often? 5)Is the theme developer answering within 24 hours in public? 6)What PHP version does the theme require? 7)Is the theme responsive?
Thanks for the answer. For what I should look to get a better view of the theme "friendliness" towards SEO?
Some of the things I'd recommend checking for a friendly SEO theme would be number of requests and clean code. You have to make sure there are as little requests as possible since they are heavy and slow down your website, to do so check a tab in Inspect: Network Clean code impacts your websites speed, so get a demo version of the theme and run it through Google PSI to see whenever there's lots of wrong with the theme or not.
If it is your first time it probably will take time to make sound detition as it was the for me. There is a few I considered the most: Features Responsiveness Compared to other similar themes Is there any new versions released How official theme developers solve new issues Does it works fine with plugins I am going to use
Great theme support and timely response Do they update the Theme code with latest Wordpress releases Is the theme fast Does the theme work with the plugins you want to use Does it have a high rating on Themeforest Can you use a certain WP Visual editor you like or is their built in Visual Editor good? Do premium plugins that you want to use come with the theme
